Technically you don't have my favorite 80's movie in your poll its Back to the Future but I do like all those movies you have in your poll so it was kind of hard to choose but I decided to go with TopGun becuase the soundtrack is one of my favorites

My two favorite 80's movies aren't on the list!
"The Goonies" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
oh, and "The Terminator" is another one.

I am old enough to see Sixteen Candles at a movie theatre.
I still love this movie, it's cheesy in a good way and Jake Ryan, OMG what a hottie!

Hold the press... why did you forget Ferris Bueller and Back to the Future? Those are a couple of my tops.

My #1 80s favorite though: really any Brat Pack movie, but for the poll I narrowed it down to St. Elmo's Fire because I knew no one else would. It was really popular, yet it's not remembered like "The Breakfast Club." Maybe because NO channel airs it like they air the other Brat Pack movies.

I have to agree with the people who wanted Ferris Bueller and Back to the Future. Those needed a place up there, and I would have had a hard time choosing between them. My vote went to "Dirty Dancing," but I also love "Footloose." I saw the "Breakfast Club" for the first time a few weeks ago and liked that also.

Back To The Future

Christmas Vacation is my favorite movie, but I wouldnt really consider it an "80s movie", even if it did come out in 1987.

Didn't that come out in 1989? Maybe it didn't. I'm too lazy too look it up now and my computer is going to slow to handle another screen. Anyway, awesome movie. I haven't seen it in a while though. It was on NBC last Christmas season, but it just loses something when it's on a national station. LOL. I liked the Nation Lampoon's (summer) Vacation, that came out in 1983 with Anthony Michael Hall playing Rusty. The European Vacation was so bad! But I will watch it whenever it is on. LOL.
