Who thinks it's stupid. I sometimes watch AI or AJ, and a lot of people at school dispise this show because it is "pointless", "corny", and "stupid". But! People who say this havent even watch it!!

So do any of you hate American Idol, and if so, why do you?

I like American Idol and why would anyone say something negative about a show that they haven't even watched? :confused: :crazy:

I've never seen it, so I dont know.

I used to think it was kinda pointless. But then I watched it and I kinda got hooked...and well...I'm going to the concert on Monday...

American Idol (2) is the beeeeest. I love Clay!:woohoo:

I've never seen an episode of American Idol. It doesn't interest me.

I only like that parts where Simon tells the people they suck.:cool:

I love American Idol! Actually, in the beginning I wasnt really getting into it. I thought it was pointless. People at school were always talking about it, and it always got on my nerves. I tried getting to it in Season 1's Semifinals, but I didnt totally get into it.

So I didnt watch, thinking it was trash, until the episode where Tamyra Gray got voted off. I watched it, and thought, "ok". But the next day at school EVERYONE was talking about Tamyra's boot. It was on the news and everything.

So I watched Nikki's elimination, and Kelly's win. But then I fell in love with Kelly! As a singer of course.. lol. I thought, "boy I missed out this season, i cant wait for next season"

So AI2 came along in January. As much as I wanted to get into it, I thought of it as an enemy show, because it was up against 8 Simple Rules, and ruining their ratings. So I decided to watch AI, and tape 8SR. The auditions were fun, but later on in the semi finals, i kinda was like "blah" to the show. It was totally un-entertaining in the first rounds of auditions- The only thing that entertained me was the Kim vs. Julia fight. Surprisingly, I was on Kimberly's side, even though much of America was on Julia's side.

So I watched the semi finals, and Kim made me a fan.. But later on in the semi finals it was kinda boring..

When they finally have the top 12-- That's when to watch it! From then on, you have the cream of the crop. And its addicting. Ever since Motown week, I've watched every episode!

Sure Simon's honest in the beginning but if you watched all the episodes w/ the top 12 you'd realize that while honest, he is often over the top. He only says certain things to fit his "character" on television. I can't stand the damn brit.

I love AI!! Especially the first one... Kelly rocks dude! :D. I havent had a chance to see American Juniors yet.

Never have liked it.

I have no opinion of American Idol. What I don't like is how it keeps knocking the Bernie Mack show off Wednesday nights.

I don't know if I would call it stupid, but I do think it is boring, which is actually worse than stupid.
The only part I find vaguely interesting is in the beginning when they are auditioning people.

Actually, to tell u the thruth, I think American Idol is one of the best ways to get attention in the business...

Maybe to get noticed but its not like you have to go around the country getting turned down by record labels and having to make ur own demo tapes. I mean, the finalists lived in this huge house and got everything youy would need. Sure its a good way to get noticed and all but you dont have to anything said above ^^.

I just think its an excellent way for people to be able to show their talent.

It's also an excellent way to get viewers on whatever station American Idol comes on. Sure it's an easy way to sell 100,000 albums but :D

American Idol is addictive. I mean, I sing, and Id rather do AMerican Idol, than spend my life searching for a record deal.
