Overrated, definitely Vanessa Marcil

Underrated would have to be Tamara Braun

Over-rated ~ Susan Lucci *ducking the stones* JMHO (I'm not trying to start something, I just want peacesign: )
Under-rated ~ Deidre Hall and Alison Sweeney

Over rated - Susan Lucci. Lately I see why they call her the soap opera diva, she is doing a fantastic acting job on AMC. I have never seen her act this great before. I hope she wins an Emmy for this. Or at least gets nominated. I am enjoying her acting for the first time in 15 years.

Under rated - Juliet Mills. The poor woman has been through a lot and no one gives her credit for what she does. She tries her best to play Tabitha, a 300 year old witch and she does a fantastic job at it, she deserves credit for it imo.

Overrated: Susan Lucci :x
Underrated: Alicia Minshew. She's awesome as Kendall.

That's funny you guys say Susan is overrated, I was just watching VH-1's 200 greatest pop culture icons, and she (Susan) ranked #74 out of 200, and TV Guide called Erica the greatest soap character in television history :)

I didn't laugh, I was glad to see her on there. Luke and Laura should have been on there too IMO :)

I don't think Susan Lucci is over rated...I think she deserves all the attention she gets because she is an amazing actress and imo one of the best soap stars I have ever seen.

If you want overrated I would say Deidre Hall cuz she sucks at acting and is so whiny and ugh heh I prefer taping Days as opposed to watching it when it's on so that I can fast forward the Marlena/John storylines...they bore me to death.

Underrated--Farah Fath, Eileen Davidson, Patrika Darbo and Vincent Irizarry

Well, here I go back to my beloved :soapbox:. I understand that is your opinion and I can't do a thing about it, I understand that you have a right to that opinion, though I don't agree with it. But nevertheless I'm going to speak my mind now. Susan Lucci IS *NOT* the WORST actress in Daytime, IMO, I've seen worse such as most of the teen actors on Days they are almost all terrible. So, there you Lucci fans go, I think some of you may have thought I meant that she was the worst, I DON'T think that, I think she is the most overrated.

In regards to John and Marlena storylines boring you to death, I agree, their storylines, what excuses they've had of them over the past 4 years have been utterly PATHETIC, thanks to Lanagan and She-Lanagan. I'm betting you haven't been watching the show very long have you? I've been watching for over a decade so I've seen this show at its best when it wasn't all about TEENS. You know this is where I get mad, but not at the person who says that John and Marlena are boring or stupid or whatever I get mad at Ken Corday, Hackley, and Lanagan. They have destroyed so much about John and Marlena it's not even funny, if it wasnt' for the devine chemistry of Deidre and Drake they wouldn't be the slightest bit interesting. Not only have they destroyed J&M but they've destroyed Days of our Lives as well. I don't blame people who say that about John and Marlena, and haven't watched the show for at least 7 or 8 years, I blame the three I mentioned.

And on what you said about Deidre, I don't understand how you can say that Deidre can't act. I guess it's just different strokes for different folks.

I agree about the Marlena/John storylines boring to death. I stopped watching Days because of the guy that plays John. He just bugs me. But Deidre is a great actress, I feel sorry for her to have to work with the guy that plays John, it is sad :(

Well, if you want to know the truth about it Chris, Deidre and Drake are more than co-stars I've seen lots of proof. That's all I'll say about that, I could get in MEGA trouble with the folks that own that proof if I don't, because they could get in MEGA trouble for having that stuff. But, trust me, Deidre doesn't mind to work with Drake. He he he. :grineyes:

Actually i've been watching the show for just over 10 years now and I have never liked Marlena...Deidre may be a good actress but seeing her play Marlena makes me think otherwise...there was a time that I did like John, especially when him and Kristen were having an affair, but now....
Ugh! True it is mostly the writers fault, but there's just something I really dislike about Marlena and John. I can tell this is a subject we will never agree on, everyone is entitled to their own opinion! :)

Wow, I wouldn't have thought that, I just figured you'd only been watching for maybe 5 years or something. Yeah, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Or will end up like this :argue: everytime we see eachother. lol

Heh nope! When my family moved into a new house just over 10 years ago we were the only people living in this neighborhood because it was a new area and I had nothing to do all summer except watch tv and thats when I became hooked on Days! :p

I think I just always thought it was pathetic how Stefano was obsessed with his "Queen of the Night" and I blamed her for coming between John and Kristen and then there was the whole possessed by the devil storyline that was pretty pathetic...but I take back wut I said about Deidre being a bad actress, it's just Marlena that I hate. :lol:

You were a John and Kristen fan then? Yeah, now it makes lots of since why you hate Marlena. She was pretty much the center of the show during those years, so I can see why you'd maybe resent her, or just plain not like her character. lol. The thing about the possesion is most don't get it, I thought it was stupid, too. Until, I got older, now when I look back at it, I see it differently, to me it wasn't about all the crap about changing into a panther and levatating lol, that story was really about John and Marlena's love, it was the ultimate love story. But being as you arent' a John and Marlena fan, you have no reason to like it. lol. We may disagree but we're civil about it and I compliment you on your niceness. :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that I kinda liked Kristen in a like to hate her sorta way. Kristen cracked me up a lot, I'd like to see her back someday, I'd love to see more Marlena and Kristen catfights those were HILLARIOUS.

Yup I was a big John and Kristen fan..Kristen is probably my favorite character from Days ever...well her and Vivian!
The posession storyline didn't even start off that bad...it was kind of neat watching all this bad stuff going on around town and you didn't know who it was until Marlena took off the black mask and it was like "*gasp* Oh my gosh how could it have been Marlena?!" from that point on the storyline just went downhill imo! :p

Aww thanks, ya it's nice that we can have a friendly little debate because even though we disagree on this i'm sure there are many other opinions of characters/storylines that we'll totally agree on!! :)

Kristen and Vivian are definitely favorites of mine as well. They were both so hillarious. Ivan was pretty funny too. I'd love to see them return someday. Maybe with Reilly coming back it will happen.

Ok, for over rated: Susan Lucci, this is just my opinion but i don't think she is a good actress but that is just my opinion! so don't go all nuts on me.

and for under rated: Robin Christopher(Skye GH) she is such a great actress.

Overrated- Susan Lucci (She is a diva...)

Underrated- Tamara Braun. She has done a wonderful job with the role of Carly. Taking over where Sarah Brown left off must have been hard and I think she is getting comfortable in her role. Go Tamara!

Over-Rated- Tamara Braun- She is a total hack, she's ruined GH.

Under-rated- I would say that Julia Rose Barr is underrated, she is a FABULOUS actress with great depth and range and outside the soap world she is hardly known at all, i think she should be a media darling like Lucci, Hall and Dano! she's that great!
