Just wanted you all to know that Dani and I are still working on the Tribute CD for Freddie...and if everything works out...we have a huge suprise for you all. Just waiting for a couple more songs before I begin putting it all together. I'll keep you posted. This was Dani's brainchild and she has done an excellent job in getting all the songs to me that you have requested. Our hats off to Dani for coming up with such a loving and creative idea.

I didn't really do anything that anyone here wouldn't have thought of. :D The final project should become everyone's new favorite CD though. At least I hope that everyone will enjoy the CD. I know you will love :eyes: the surprise! :lol:

Here's an idea for another CD. Have on it all of Chico & Ed's singing from CATM plus Freddies singing from TONY ORLANDO & DAWN plus Mando playing music with thet Mexican group from the RAUL RUNS AWAY episode along with snippets of jokes from the like LOOKING GOOD, EE'S NOT MY JOB & LITTLE DOG IN THE WINDOW etc. That would be neat! :)

And sweet nightmare is a great song ity makes me sad but you can hear the love that L and M have for Freddie in every word!!

I just got my copy yesterday afternoon and haven't had the chance to listen to it all yet, but I want to thank Tani for all of her hard work.

As for Sweet Nightmare, most of the praise goes to Mariposa and her wonderful lyrics. I am not sure I did them justice tho.... :blush: It is a good thing I don't write music for a living, I'd starve! LOL ( Hey kid, don't give up your day job! LOL)

Thanks to everyone. Glad you liked it. Just want everyone to know that this CD was a collaborative effort. Dani found all the tunes on the internet for us and emailed them to me, plus she designed the front cover. I thought it would be a great idea to include Freddie's song, so found someone who knew how to copy from VCR tape onto a CD. That was the big surprise...even though no one really got it!! LOL. So thanks to Dani for the idea to begin with and to all of Freddie's fans for particpating and requesting thier songs. I am still getting requests. Anything to help keep Freddie's memory alive. I think he is smiling!!! Enjoy everyone..and thanks Dani for a great partnership..it was fun.

I had the opportunity to really listen to the CD in the car on my way to school today, and on the way home. I find I can concentrate on the words better in the car for some reason. I found myself really appreciating what Dani and Macca did. Not only did I find myself seeing Freddie in these songs, but the choices spoke of the people who chose them too. It was like I was getting to know each and every one of you a little better and just how you feel about our Prinze. One of the things that struck me about all of the songs is how I could see someone making a video of them with clips of Freddie from the show and other appearances. I definitely could see him in "Boy From NYC" When she describes him, I could see his face and expressions from CATM playing with the words. I found myself doing that with all the other ones too. I only wish I knew how to do that, take the songs and superimpose clips from CATM to go along with the words. There was a lot of love in each of those songs, and I felt it all from all of you as I listened to the songs you all thought reminded you of Freddie. Thanks again, mis amigas, for a wonderful idea. I am sure we could come up with a volume 2 (and more) of these wonderful remembrances of Freddie.

Thank you so very, very much! What a terrific idea this tribute CD was and every time I listen to a song I feel like I can understand how each of you make a connection with Freddie. Whether it's an upbeat happy tune or a deep-seeded feeling-type song, they all remind us of him in one way or the other. With every song, tv show or story I read, I think of him. He is always on my mind!

I have more picked out too, in fact I had made a CD about a year ago of songs that remind me of Freddie in one way or another. So I have a whole collection of songs! LOL

I just received my BEAUTIFUL Freddie CD.

When I opened it and saw Freddie's pictures I was shaking. Then I listened to it......

Well............ My eyes watered :crying: when I heared the 1st song and realized that it was Freddie himself. That was such a surprise.... I listened to all the songs and loved each one. Every song reminded me of Freddie. At the end was another surprise. Lucky........ You go girl! You and Mariposa...... As for Macca and Dani...... You made a lady here in NYC very happy. :crying:

One thing about this CD is that there are songs that I had never heared before so it was a special treat.......

I just received mine yesterday; it is an absolutely beautiful CD, and a very special one. Because I don't get Good Life on my cable system, I was never able to watch any of the TOAD reruns, so the first track was the first time I heard Freddie sing since 1976 (except for "To Be With You", which I just taped a couple of weeks ago). What a terrific experience.

You did a professional job, ladies; kudos to everyone involved, and thank you.
