Why do I have a feeling this show will not be nearly as clever at they think it's going to be?

I read this line of dialogue in a Parents Television Council article. When one line of dialogue makes your jaw drop in disbelief, ou know something is wrong. I still think that once Frasier is gone, NBC will have no wit left with it....

Despite all of the protesting by the cast and creative people, "Coupling" will always be compared to "Friends."

If the show mad its debut on another network, NBC would be crying "ripoff" from day one.

This is just an attempt by NBC to stay on top. They know they're going to lose the original "friends" this year, so they copied it almost exactly.
