I was just curious if anyone else has used these. They are translucent color cassettes, and are very cool. They come in orange, green & 2 shades of blue, and come in high quality plastic slipcases, instead of chintzy weak boxes. I'm currently recording "I Love Lucy" on them, and not only are they nice to look at, but they give a great recording, and are actually "EHG" (Extra High Grade) tapes...I got my 4-pack at Circuit City for $9.95, but I saw them for less at Sears (I think $7 something). I don't think you can buy them anyplace else right now...they're worth a trip to the mall to pick some up!

Ive seen those but never purchased them. They are wild though, what a cute idea.
And it's getting harder and harder to find quality tapes anywhere!
I get jvc golds from hhgreggs - the only place i can find them. everywhere in town seems to sell maxell BRONZE, rca, and sony. I dont care for any of them - seems theirs not as much $$$ in selling blank tapes anymore, huh?

Yes, that's true, but you can seem to find better tapes at better stores, per se...Circuit City like I mentioned, carries, TDK Vivid, Memorex, JVC E-HG (which really is better than Gold), as well as D-VHS and S-VHS tapes. And it's the only place I know of where you can still buy metal cassette tapes, for anyone who still uses those...even through all this though, I'd have to say my favorite tape is still TDK. It's affordable and gives good results 99% of the time...
