Just thought we could have a board to discuss off-topic stuff and have a party. Some other boards here have one.

Now, step aside and let me at that Big Sandwich! :eat: Watch out for Carlton Blanchard and do not, I repeat DO NOT make the unfortunate mistake of eating Bob's jelly donut!

Anyhoo, have fun hanging at the Club Car! :D

And for anybody who cares, there is a trucking company called Club Car. There's also one called Duran Duran. SERIOUSLY!!

Krista, I haven't seen one of their trucks in a long time, so for all I know, that trucking company could be out of business. There are alot of trucking companies going out of business, especially the smaller ones. Since I seem to know so much about all this, I guess now is the time to admit to everybody what I do for a living--I drive an 18-wheeler, over the road. I don't immediately tell too many people because alot of the general public look down on truck drivers. I know they think we're a bunch of dirty, unbathed, country bumpkin rebels who are manical nuisances on the road. I 'poo-poo' on that stereotype. I get told ALOT that I don't look like a truck driver, and I'm always thinking So what does a truck driver look like? Is it because I don't wear a cowboy hat and overalls? No offense to anybody else who does wear those. Well, right now, I haven't worked in 5 weeks. I'm on worker's comp because I broke my wrist(typing with my good hand!!). I was climbing out my truck at the truck stop and there are these things in the ground called Park-n-View. I had my feet on the ground and stepped back forgetting it was there, fell back and landing on my hand. Going a little nutty here!! I'm just not used to being home this long. My case worker won't release me to go back to work until I'm healed because she doesn't want me to reinjure my wrist. My job is alot more physically demanding than alot of people think. Anyhoo, I'm sorry I'm rambling on here!!! Hey, can this be the 1st off topic-topic? Why not? My question is:What do you do for a living? How do you like it(or not like it)? Is this the job you always wanted to do? How long have you been there? And anything else you want to add. Thanks!!:D

Oh, Snoopy, I can certainly relate. Before I started driving, I spent a number of years in retail. One who has never worked retail can't imagine how many rude, inconsiderate "people"(I'm dying to use the A-word) there are in this country. You just graduated from college didn't you? Be patient, that cashier job will be, but a faint memory.

I've been driving for almost 5 years, next month. I like it for the most part, but of course, there are alot of regulations. Despite what people think, I look at it this way, it's good money, I get paid to see the country, I don't see my boss for weeks at a time, and I can bring my dogs. That last one for me is important because being a solo driver, not to mention female, they not only provide companionship, but protection, too. So, how many jobs can one say that about? Actually, though, when I was younger, I wanted to be a band director, because I was really involved in music and loved band. The reason I didn't go through with it was because I didn't think they made that much money, and I didn't want to go through life always feeling like I never had enough money.

OK, enough from me for a while!!!

I agree. There are too many rude a$$holes in the world. I can't stand rude, inconsiderate jerks. Probably why I never liked watching Seinfeld and why I'm starting to dislike Everybody Loves Raymond.

That's another thing I love about shows like Wings and Cheers. you get to see some kind, decent human beings. Even if they're not real people, it's still a comfort to invite them into my living room every night.

What do you do for a living, Phoebe?

ooh, you're a truck driver? That's so cool!
My Dad has two friends that are truck drivers. But they just drive stuff locally across connecticut, massachusetts, and some surrounding states. I don't think they do any cross-country stuff.
But I think that's really cool that that's what you do for a living!

Well, my job... I'm only doing it until I get out of college. I work in a call center for Sun Microsystems. Field Engineers from all over the US and Canada call in and order computer parts, and us people in the call center take their orders, and send them through to the warehouses. It's not a bad job, but it gets boring once in a while because the only time I have work to do is when I'm on a call. (That's why I have so much time to talk on this board when I'm at work. hehe). The really good thing about my job is that they're really flexible about my hours. When I go back to school, I only work on Sundays, and they have no problem with letting me go back to only working on Sundays every year during school. and then in the summer I work Sundays through Thursdays.
But yeah, I couldn't see myself working this job for the rest of my life.. good thing I only have about 3 semesters to go! woohoo!!

oh, and I'm changing the subject, but do you guys wanna hear how stupid I am? I got stung by a paper wasp before- there's a small nest on our shed outside, and I went to take a macro picture of it, and i walked over there, and i saw all the wasps twitch, and then i got a little closer to it to get my camera ready, and one flew off and headed right for me, and stung my hand. lol. I never got stung by just going near one like that. Usually I get stung by accidentally stepping on one or leaning on one or something. haha i'm an idiot. but my brother knows the weirdest things, and he was like, "oh, I'll make you a paste out of sugar and rubbing alcohol, and then put it on where you got stung, and leave it there until it dries and cracks off. it's supposed to suck out the poison." so i was like, ok... and it was so weird- within 5 minutes, it didn't even sting anymore. and if you've ever gotten stung by a wasp, you know it usually burns and stings for hours. lol.

Well, gotta go. I'm going to see a drive-in movie tonight. hehe I haven't gone to one of those in a long time. It's a shame that almost all the drive-in theaters are gone. there are only 2 left in CT.
It's a fun thing to do in the summer!

Guys maybe it's just me but I don't see a link to the Club Car in the original post. Where is this located?

phoebe7165

Ice Cream Man, I think this is just a free-for-all board to where we're talking about everything BUT Wings. But I looked, too, and couldn't find any links on the Club Car, either.

Krista, that is so cool that you can go on the boards while at work!! Alot of the truck stops have the internet, but it costs 25cts a minute. That might not seem like alot, but knowing me, I'd be on there forever and running up my credit card. I have a qualcomm in my truck, I can get e-mail from my sister, and boyfriend & I can e-mail each other in our trucks. Of course, he drives over the road, too. I thought about a laptop, but that will probably have to wait a bit. At least until I start working again, worker's comp only pays 66% of the salary, so I haven't been spending as much lately.

So, who wants a big turkey leg thrown at them?!!!:turkey: :turkey: :batman: :batman:

you guys wanna hear a funny story?!
Remember when I posted here on Friday, I mentioned I was going to a drive-in movie with one of my friends?
Well, check this story out:
So we had trouble finding the place, and then when we did, we found out that the first movie that was playing sucked (Spy Kids 3-d) lol! So we were going to leave and come back for the second movie. So we went and we drove to this reservoir up there, and took a walk on the top of the dam and stuff. Well, it was dark out, but we didn't really think anything of it because there were no signs that said "no tresspassing after dark" or anything. so anyway after about a half hour, we get back to the car, just as a car is pulling off the road behind my friend's car... it was a cop car, and she put the lights on, got out of the car, and was like, "what are you guys doing here?" so we told her, and she was like, "this is a restricted area at night" and we said that we didn't know that. so she asked us for our ID's and for the car's registration and insurance and everything. and then she asked me if we're wanted. haha that seemed so bizarre. I was like, "...no...." so then she looks at our licences and says "you guys are far from home." (I live about 45 minutes south of there, and my friend lives about 45 minutes south of me even. so yeah, we were kind of out of our way). so my friend explained to her that we were going to the drive-in, and the one that was closer to us isn't open this year, and then we got to this one, and the first movie we didn't want to see, so we were going to go back for the second movie. so she was like, "ok. sit in the car until i'm done." then about 10 minutes later, she comes back and she gave us both written warnings! ha! I just found that so amusing! Usually, they fine you, but she gave us written warnings for tresspassing! I just think that is so weird! So we were both like, "I wish there were signs that said the area was closed after dark." and I don't remember what she said, but it was basically that it's common sense not to take a walk near a public water supply at night. hmmm... I never really thought about it! lol. but whatever. I want to frame my pink slip because it's just so weird. Who would have thought that going to see a drive-in movie would have gotten us in trouble with the cops? lol!

oh! and then we got to the drive-in movie place, and we found a parking place, and then I had to use the bathroom before the movie started. and..... I could have sworn the sign said "WOMEN", but I guess it didn't, because I walked into the men's bathroom. hahahahaha! I opened the door and saw a guy peeing into a urinal, and I'm like, "hmm... that's not right." lol! Good thing he didn't see me, and I don't think anyone else did. Man, I could have sworn that sign said "women"!!! haha :bonk:
fun times. fun times.

so, how was everyone else's weekend?

So, Spy Kids 3-D sucks? I haven't seen any review on it yet, but I was going to see it, mainly because it was 3-D. I had already heard that the new movie with Jen & Ben, "Gigli" is pretty bad.

Yeah, cops will check you out, even when getting pulled over. They want to check for warrants. I've watched enough episodes of "Cops" to know that. I also learned from watching that show that if ever you think your life sucks and is absolutely pathetic, just watch "Cops", and see the lowlifes on there. Trust me, you'll feel so much better about yourself!

:cuss:

Krista, another GREAT story. lol I'm telling ya, you need to drive straight to LA and walk into NBC studios and just tell them your activities for a typical month and they'll have 15 or 20 sit-com plots ready to go.

:D

You also sound just like Helen Chappel when it comes to men's rooms.

I'm glad that you like all my stories! That would be awesome if my daily activities could be made into a sitcom. hahaha.
and how am i like Helen when it comes to men's restrooms? I think I missed that one.. hehe.

and phoebe- apparently, Spy Kids 3-D was #1 at the box office this past weekend. I just know that all those movies looked like they were completely stupid, so we wanted to skip that one. we got back there before the end of the movie, and so we saw the last 10 minutes or so, and it was really really stupid. But that's just my opinion- I'm just not into kids movies... Plus, they used those red and blue 3-d glasses, so it made me dizzy! they could have used those cool ones that they use for the 3-d movies in Disney World- the ones that are all one color, but polarized a certain way or something...
but yeah. I'll stop rambling...

My son wants to see Spy Kids 3-D really bad - but I don't like those 3-D glasses either. Basically anything on my head gives me a headache after awhile. My husband says I'm nuts... but glasses, hats, even hair barettes/pony tails give me a headache!

I saw Pirates this weekend... my kind of movie, *definitely.* No bad language, no sex, gorgeous guys & the living dead... what more could I possible ask for? I thought it would not be crowded because it'd been out a couple of weeks... boy was I wrong. And seeing Orlando Bloom again makes my heart ache for the next LOTR.

I hope to see Johnny English next weekend. I love Rowan Atkinson!

Let's see, I have lots of similar cop stories... but none from this weekend, lol. Once my husband & brother-in-law cut through the woods at Silver Glen Springs ... they didn't know it was illegal to do that. lol. Some kind of cop stopped them (I think it was Fish & Wildlife), but they didn't have any ID (they'd just swam up to the shore) She asked for their names, and they gave her bogus names & addresses. She gave them tickets. I was surprised she didn't make them take her back to their boat for ID, considering she was writing tickets... but she didn't. I've often wondered if my hubby's alias ever got notices in the mail... lol That was about 11 years ago, so obviously they beat the rap.

The funniest thing from this weekend was that my friend gave me a fake chicken wing. It looks so real, I was fooling everybody with it. Put it in a napkin & hand it to them. lol! My 7 year old said that it wasn't a chicken wing, it's a trickin wing.

a fake chicken wing? lol!! did anyone actually bite into it? hahahaha! that's funny what your son called it- a "trickin wing" What a clever kid!

and about movies- the only new movies that I've seen recently are "Terminator 3" (which I loved and saw twice already), and "How To Deal". That one was ok. Not excellent, but it didn't suck.
I sort of want to see "Pirates Of The Carribbean". at first I didn't want to, but I've been hearing a lot of good things about it.
I also want to see "League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen". At first I didn't want to, and then I saw more previews and it looked really cool, but now I might wait until it's playing in the cheap theaters, because I've heard a lot of bad things about that one. But I do want to see it for myself.

Speaking of the Pirates movie- let's talk about Johnny Depp- man, I saw half of that movie "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" last night, and I didn't even know that that was Johnny Depp in that movie until an hour into it, and my friend said something about him, and I was like, "WHAT? That's Johnny Depp?!" lol that dude looks soooo different in all the movies that he does, I didn't even recognize him. That's a really cool movie so far, by the way. We didn't watch the whole thing because it was late and I wanted to go home, but I definately want to see the rest.

I've got a police story, but it's rather tame. When I was in high school, my friend, Shirley & I used to 'roll' people's houses. You know, toliet paper. That's what it was called down here. It was done all out of fun. We were doing this one guy's house, and we didn't know the chief of police lived right down the street, He was going home after his shift and caught us. So he called our names in, and Shirley was freaking out because her mom listens to a scanner at home, so she would've heard her name.(Shirley's brother-in-law is a cop.) The only thing he made us do is clean it up, then he let us go.

lol phoebe- that's funny.

my cousin is just asking to get arrested. lol! no, her and her friends do the craziest stuff- not dangerous stuff, but stuff that can get you in trouble with the cops. lol. Like she was telling me that sometimes at night she likes to drive down a street on garbage night and bowl over the garbage cans with her car. hahahaha!
and she said she got a written warning once for having like, 9 people in a car that only sits 5. lol.
You know- fun stuff like that.

my Dad listens to a police scanner just because he wants to. hehe. he's into Ham radio and stuff, and he has a police scanner and listens to it a lot. I hear a lot of stuff on there about people I know. hahaha

Hee hee. Nah, nobody actually bit into the wing. Once you touch it, you know it feels not right... but looking at it, they're like, "Heck yeah!" And then, "Awww, you're so mean!"

If you're into fantasy flicks, definitely spring for Pirates. It was absolutely wonderful. It had all this humor (you'll get more of the jokes if you've ridden the ride at Disney.) Like when Elizabeth teaches Jack the "Yo ho, a Pirate's life for me" song, he says, "I love this song! I'm going to teach it to the whole crew!"
I've been singing that song for days now.

There's a couple of other "inside" ride jokes, but I won't spoil them. Johnny Depp was brilliant. He's an incredible actor, for sure. And yes, he's so different in all of his roles. You'd never guess it was him. That's what's so great about him (and I think why you can kinda forget who he is sometimes) because he doesn't fit in any mold, and he makes you forget you're looking at an actor. You really see the character, and not him, if you know what I mean.

I haven't heard any good things about "League..." I originally wanted to see it because it looked so dark and sci-fi-ish... but then nobody whose taste I admire has given it a glowing report... and my movie budget is so limited I gotta be extremely picky.

If you see it, let me know.

Has anybody else seen Johnny in 'Ed Wood'? What a complete departure!! Funny line I remember(although it's been a while since I've seen it and don't have it word for word). He's asking that, I think her name was Vampira, out to dinner, and she says "You're asking me out on a date? I thought you were a ***" and he replies, "I'm not a ***, I'm just a cross-dresser!" HaHa! Oh yeah, that is so much better!!:happyface :happyface :happyface :happyface

Seems my 3-letter word was edited. For those who haven't seen the movie, the word is a slang word for a homosexual, or a British slang term for a cigarette, however you want to look at it. I don't use the word myself, I was just repeating a line from a movie.:o :o :o :o

Thanks, Wingshock, that was interesting. Hey, if I offended anybody, I'm sorry. I have absolutely nothing against anybody's sexual preference. Speaking of meanings being changed, remember when 'gay' used to mean 'happy'? Also, remember the term "good buddy", like one hears in "Smokey & the Bandit" 10-4, good buddy. Well, I don't know how this happened, but somehow that term has a totally different meaning these days, of course, meaning homosexual. All I know is when I started driving 5 years ago, it had already changed meaning.

what? I've never heard that one!!
And that's really weird because last night I told brother's boyfriend that he's my good buddy. lol I was like, "yeah! you're my good buddy, man!" (yeah, my brother's gay), and he didn't seem offended or anything. lol. weird. mybe it's one of those things that people only say in certain parts of the country...

Honestly I think it's a shame a perfectly good, useful word like "gay" has all these attachments to it now. I had a friend in high school whose name was John Gay. He ended up being embarrassed about his name... especially when teachers would call him last name first!

I think the homosexuals might want to lose that nickname soon, though -- because it already means "goofy" or "stupid" at my son's school. Like, "Hey, did you play that new video game?" "Yeah, but I thought it was gay." They don't mean it was a homosexual game!!

oh guess what- I brought my car to the car place to get fixed the other day, and there was this golf cart-looking thing there, and it was called "The Club Car". lol!

you guys want to know what I'm doing to keep myself occupied at work while it's really slow? I'm reading websites about insects. Yes. I am. Bumble Bees (I love them), Euschistus Beetles, and Japanese Beetles!
I should become an Entomologist. Yeah, screw Computer Science, I'll become a bug expert!!! My brother should become an Entomologist too. lol. he knows the WEIRDEST things about all kinds of bugs. I'll see some weird bug, and I know I just have to ask him what it is, and he always knows.
I'll have to post up the macro pictures I took of a Euschistus Beetle the other day. hehehe it was cute. I almost named it. oh, I have macro pictures of a bumble bee too that I almost named. It was sitting on the picnic table the other day, so I was touching it (you know, because they're fuzzy. hehe), and it kept hitting me with its leg.

anyway, what is everyone doing this weekend? I'm going camping in Rhode Island with one of my friends. we're leaving tomorrow morning (i have to wake up at like, 5 AM! aaah!), and coming back on Sunday. That should be fuuuun!

laalaalaaaa.
I'm shutting up now.

Man, you people are always doing something fun over the weekend. I think I will clean my bathrooms and do laundry! Aaaaggggghhh!

OK, here's a puzzler fer ya. Y'all know I'm into my new Al CD, right? So here's some lines from one song & see if y'all can figure out what is special about them:

I man am regal, a German am I
Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog

Is it about Roy? :D

Anyway, here's a Wings joke...

Q. Would seeing a ghost scare the life out of Antonio?
A. No, because Antonio doesn't have a life!

(Just teasing, of course. I love Antonio for the sweet guy he is.)

Gosh, I hated Antonio in the one where Joe had the ear infection! And I also couldn't stand him when he installed the alarm system for Joe & Helen. In fact, I fast-forwarded through that part because it was torture!

Ok, no - those puzzles weren't about Wings. Everything in life doesn't revolve around Wings! Sheesh! Some people. ;)

::swings door open wide in obvious frustration. Stalks over to the bar, plops down and orders a jumbo sweet tea::

What a day.

I get home from work to be confronted by a contingent of neighborhood kids accusing my son of breaking into one of their houses and stealing CDs and rifling through their mom's dresser.

So I have to swing into police detective mode for a few hours. I finally figured the whole thing out. Don't know who I'm angriest at, and have a stress headache you wouldn't believe.

Now I feel kind of like I was over-reacting because it was a big nothing blown all out of proportion, and I feel like I kind of played into the kids' hands by even treating the accusation seriously. If they were looking for a drama, they got one... and I know that's what they were looking for.

Well, all of them have gotten in trouble now, so I think they've all learned their lessons. I hope. My son learned not to go into anybody's house unless the parents see him. One kid learned not to stir up stuff "for fun," and the other kid learned not to make accusations that he has no basis for.

::rubs pounding head, takes another swig of tea::

Basically they all learned that you don't play around with stuff like that because it's serious business.

Parenting!! Uggh.

Love,

Wing<><

Geez, Wingshock, I thought it was bad when my dogs chase after my neighbor's cat! My neighbor only moved in about 6 months ago and she understandably gets very upset. I've never had a problem before she showed up, though. She keeps threatening to call the dog catcher.:dog: :dog:

That stinks, Phoebe. Is there some way you can keep the dogs from chasing the cat, like keeping them fenced in the yard?

It really bugs me when people move into a new neighborhood and start strutting around like they own the place. We had a middle-aged couple move into our neighborhood a couple of years ago and they were always complaining about the kids in the area playing around and making noise. They moved away about a year or so later.

Actually, I do have a fenced-in backyard, and they do go out there most of the time, but sometimes when I have to go out front, I let them come outside with me. They aren't bad dogs, they don't bite, they just chase after other dogs & cats. There is a leash law in Fla., and I really should practice it, because one of these days it's going to "bite" me in the you know what.

Hey, I was just channel surfing and came across "Just Shoot Me", a show which I usually don't watch. David Spade's character was on Jay Leno(that's what caught my attention). Guess who Jay's other guest was? Crystal!!!! I had no idea she was on a "JSM" episode. Guess I'll have to step down as pop culture goddess.

I guess I could've put this on the Frasier topic from Snoopy. Has anybody else noticed in the earlier episodes of Wings, there is a producer named Roz Doyle. For those who watch Frasier know that is Peri Gilpin's character's name. I read or heard somewhere some time ago that the real Roz Doyle died of cancer, so it was nice they decided to honor her memory, and name a TV character after her. Could David Angell be far behind?

gaaahhhh! I'm at work and I'm so bored! Sundays suck. it's so dead here.

So how was everyone's weekend? Mine was cool. yesterday, me and my brother went to Ozzfest. and I'm so bored right now that I'm gonna tell you all the story the looong way. hehe.
We went together last year, and it was so much fun that we just had to go again this year. There weren't as many bands there this year that I wanted to see, but the whole experience of the thing is fun no matter what.
We saw a bunch of weird bands perform on the second stage... this one band called Dipswa was really cool. and then this band that my brother listens to, called Chimaira, was... interesting. lol. They were actually cool to see live, but I wouldn't listen to them on a CD. it was so funny- I said to my brother, "I like them." and he looks at me like, "WHAT??!" and says, "I never thought I'd hear those words come out of your mouth." haha.
Oh, and it was so cool- i dropped my water bottle on the ground, and it had mud and gravel stuck all over it when i picked it up, and i was trying to find a place to wipe it off (i didn;t want to touch it. eeww), and then i made believe i was going to wipe it off on my brother, and he freaked out. hahaha, so then he turned away, and i'm still trying to figure out how to wipe mud and gravel off of my water bottle, and then i realized that my brother wasn't looking, so i wiped it off on him, and he freaked out, and the people in back of me were laughing, and i turned around, and they were laughing at me for wiping off my water bottle on my brother. hahahaha. I mean, I always say that that's what brothers are for- when you have gross stuff on something, wipe it on your brother!!
and then anyway, there was this band called Motograter.... they were really weird- they all painted themselves black with white lines. and the singer was painted red. hahaha I was cracking up! They were interesting, but not great.. and then this other band that my brother likes a lot, called Cradle Of Filth, played. I think I've heard of them from years ago. But anyway, they're a Black Metal band. I'm kind of getting into black metal lately. It's interesting stuff- it's like a mix of heavy metal with opera. hahaha it's great! They weren't the best black metal band I've ever heard, but they put on a real weird show. At one point they had these people in weird costumes, on really tall stilts come out on stage, and one of them had extensions on her arms, so she looked like a giant tall insect. haha it was so bizarre.
Then on the main stage we saw Chevelle- they were boring, Marilyn Manson- that guy is an a-hole. I never thought I would ever see him in concert, because he's such an ass. He was really boring too.
Then Disturbed played- they were one of the main reasons I wanted to go. They were awesome! oh man!
and then my brother wanted to stay to see Korn play. Now, I think they're as boring as hell. So I was bored out of my mind. But then we left right after them because we were so exhausted. we had gotten there at about 12:30 PM, and it was 9 PM, and we hadn't eaten all day since about 11:30 before we got there, since hot dogs cost $4.00 at that place! haha.
and then we got free food at Denny's because they were so understaffed that we sat there for a half hour before they took our order, and then it took another 45 minutes to actually get our food!! woohoo! free food!
But Ozzfest wasn't really as fun this year as it was last year. I don't know why. I mean, last year it was so much fun to watch people because everywhere you looked there were people doing strange things. like, this one guy was passed out on the lawn, and people were piling paper plates and paper cups on top of him, and then they tied his shoelaces together and were taking pictures. hahaha it was great. a while later, he woke up and was trying to figure out what happened. it was so funny. and there was this really tame little mosh pit right bejhind us on the lawn. it was such a cute mosh pit. hahaha! And people were just doing weird things everywhere!
But we didn't see anything cool like that this year.
Well, I'm very glad that no dirty drunk guys hit on me this year, like what happened last year. lol ewww

ok, I'll shut up now.
How was everyone else's weekend?

Ha ha, never a dull moment huh Krista? And free food too.:)

That brings back the memories.....many a time my friends and I would hit Denny's at 2 or 3am and it was amazing how many times we would sit around forever waiting for service. lol

Ahhhhh, I'm still working on that astute observation. When I get one, I'll let you know.:D :D

OK, well I didn't go to any Ozzfest, but I went to a concert! Weird Al. It was soooooo great! It was at a nearby amusement park. We paid the extra $10 to have reserved seats. The reserved seats were sold out, plus a ton of people were there in the "general" area in lawn chairs, etc. all over the place. One cool thing about Al is that there are all kinds of people at the concert. Like little kids with their grandmothers sitting next to some punk-looking teenagers, and they're all singing along!

He played for 2 solid hours. I can't believe how hard he works changing into all those costumes. While he is changing he shows video clips for us, which are really funny... like scenes from "UHF" or interviews from ALTV, which are hilarious. Some of the people around me knew all the words to the scenes from "UHF" too!

Anyway, he sang sooo many songs, even though some of them he only did parts of because he couldn't have done them all. And he came out into the audience twice. I wish I'd been on aisle because I could've shook his hand. As I was kinda in the middle, I was about 7 people away from him.

It was marvelous, y'know what I'm sayin? Yeah, I know what you're saying. Y'know what I'm sayin? YES! I know!!!

Hey, Krista!! We went to Lollapalooza a few years ago and we saw a guy passed out, too, and people were trying to balance paper cups on his forehead. That must be the thing to do to a drunk person, but, hey, if he got drunk enough to pass out, he deserves it. I never understood people getting drunk at concerts or sporting events. The way I see it, I've paid enough for my ticket, I'm not going to miss anything!!!

Wingshock, I went to Duff Gardens, oh, I mean, Busch Gardens this weekend, and one of the shows is R.L. Stine's 4-D Haunted Lighthouse. Well, Weird Al is in it! It's only a small part, though. He played a stuttering waiter. Did you also catch AlTV a few weeks back on MTV? He "interviewed" Eminem and it was so funny the way he edited it to make it look like Eminem had the hots for Al!! I have seen his live show on TV and I noticed all his costume changes, too. Kind of like Cher!! I've never seen her live but I caught a part of her show on TV and she changes alot.

And I agree- I never understood why people like to get drunk and high at concerts. They probably don't even remember anything the next day! What's the point in that?
Who played at Lollapalooza the year you went? I wanted to go this year because Incubus was in it, and they're one of my favorite bands. But the closest the tour came to me was near Boston, which is over 3 hours away. me and my cousins and some friends were sort of planning on going, but it never happened, for some reason.

Wow, no chat on this topic for a few days. OK, I need to do a little rant...

 I love dogs, don't get me wrong. But one of my big pet peeves is dog owners who let their dogs run wild instead of keeping them on a leash or behind a sturdy, escape-proof fence. I was out for a walk around the neighborhood earlier this afternoon and a large yellow lab started barking and growling ferociously at me as I walked past its house. I started to cross the street and it left the yard and started chasing after me. I yelled at it and told it to get lost. Then, its owner comes to the door and calls to her dog. I called out to her that the dog belonged on a leash. She gave me a mean look, as if I was the one harassing her innocent dog. WTF?!!! Some people drive me nuts!

one of my friends' favorite artists is Weird Al. I also went to a concert the other day, for this electronic/experimental rock group called Mum. The band that opened for them was awful tho. They sounded like what it must be like inside the mind of a paranoid schizophrenic for the 40 or so minutes they played. I guess that's what you risk hearing when you go to an indie music show. I'm sure Weird Al was a lot of fun.
