During the first run through N@N I only watched sporadically until the last few seasons. I vaguely recall Jo getting some sort of scholarship so that she could attend Langley after she and Blair graduated from Eastland. At the beginning of the fifth season Jo lost this scholarship and briefly lived in Blair's dorm room until she got busted. Mrs Garrett then offered her the room at Edna's Edibles and Nat and Tootie also moved in but Blair wanted to join a sorority and chose not to live with the girls. I missed a few episodes and next thing I knew Blair was living with the girls over the shop.

Can someone fill me in to the reason why Blair changed her mind and moved in with Mrs Garrett and the girls?

Hope you can see it sometime it's called "Gamma Gamma or Bust." And it goes something like this...

Blair rushed Gamma Gamma where Boots (Jami Gertz) was a member. Blair was in charge of getting a caterer for a rush party and hired Mrs. G and Edna's Edibles to do the job. Then Mrs. G jumps the gun and plans a menu without consulting Blair. Blair gets angry because she had a different menu in mind and because she believes her chances of joining the sorority hinge on a perfect feast.

Blair and Mrs. G argue and Blair fires Edna's Edibles from the catering gig. Tootie tries to play peacemaker between the two and makes things worse. Then she and the other girls decide to cater the party themselves, without Mrs. Garrett, in the hopes that will solve things.

The food is horrible. As the Gammas are about to turn on Blair, Mrs. G arrives and confronts Tootie and crew. She followed them and knows what they were doing. Mrs. G saves the day by leading the Gammas that the dishes were hits with famous folk at previous parties. The Gammas then begin raving, glad they are dining on food of the stars and saves Blair's chances.

Later, Mrs. G and Blair apologize to one another and Boots arrives to tell Blair she made it in the sorority. Boots also tells her that she was *in all the time* because she was a legacy.

Blair decides that anyone who would let her worry and fret like that isn't the sort she wants to live with.

The girls and Mrs. G take a vote and allow Blair to move in with them. (The vote with Jo's reluctant thumbs up scene from the opening credits is from this show.)

Thank you! I have never seen that episode, but every time the opening credits would come on in season 5 I always wondered about the whole 'thumb' thing. You solved the mystery for me! Can't wait to see that episode!
