Would you want your favorite soap on DVD?

Absolutely!

YES! But I'd hope that they'd put the old episodes on DVD, maybe put out sets by year or something.

That would be so freaking awesome! I would soooo love to see old episodes od DAYS. "Best Of" sets would do since soaps run all year and not in seasons like other shows do. I think it would be way too difficult and costly on both ends to put ALL episodes on DVD. Here are some examples of what I think would be great compilations. I'm going to use DAYS as my primary example since that is the soap I watch, but I'm also using this for all soaps in general.

Couples - DVD's featuring the best of couples, like Bo & Hope, John & Marlena, Roman & Marlena, Jack & Jennifer, and even a tribute to Alice & Tom Horton.

Weddings - Feature episodes with DAYS' most memorable weddings. Maybe make this into a mini-collection since weddings tend to take up more than one episode.

Most Memorable Stories - Maybe make mini-collections featuring some of the most memorable storylines, like Marlena's possession, for instance.

The possibilities are endless.

i do not care for compilations.
i would love to have DAYS from the beginning.
as for certain storylines, i would love to have:
1. all the stuff about the 'death of carly manning'. that stuff with vivan taunting her in the grave was unreal.
2. marlena's possession.
3. masion blanche
and the most important stuff:
4. everything about the greatest character of any tv shoe, curtis reed. he was too evil to not like. the best stuff i ever saw.
