Was it the Ed Brown loses his lucky hat episode & after losing the hat won't have surgery until it is found & Chico goes trying to find it & comes across some old thug type friends of his. If I'm wrong someone will correct me I'm sure. I believe that part with the SANFORD & SON reference was at the beginning of the episode it was in...

I believe it was the nancy episode Morgan and the man where chico dates an old girlfriend from school??

I know it was at the beginning of an episode in the third season, and I think Cheryl might be right.... I will have to check, but I am positive it was third season and it was in the beginning of the episode as Chico enters for the first time.

Okay, I just got my tapes out.

That line did NOT come from the Ed's Hat episode. (Sorry, Cherryl)

It did indeed come from Morgan and the Man. (Congrats Joy)

Thanks for the info! I should've gotten it right considering I watched the show back then & saw the re-runs on TVLAND & have them on video tape. I'm suffering from CRS syndrome LOL!

I thought it was from that episode too. But then I realized that Chico walks into the room shouts to an unseen Ed, "This is the last time we buy tires from Sanford and Son." Then Chico's classmate drives into the garage. But in the Ed's Hat episode, Chico just walks in, (Rolling a tire into the garage) happy as always, and then Ed runs into the garage with his hat missing.

I haven't been watching my tapes for a while now. It was nice to see Chico, Ed and Louie again, as I did yesterday to find out which episodes was which.
