What was the very first episode about? The one today is when Ernie first arrives at the Douglas house, but Uncle Charley is there, so I know it is later in the series. Also, Robbie's college on this one, so what year is it?

Why would they go back to this from the Barbara/Dodie shows, and not the first episode do you think? Thanks.

I've heard that they show My Three Sons in two packages. Seasons 1-5 + 12. And then Seasons 6-11. The first episode of the sixth season is where Mike gets married and moves away. It's also where Stephen decides to take in Ernie. So they probably only show seasons 6,7,8,9,10 & 11. I prefer the early years with Mike and Bub.

Correct, TV ADam. Considine is listed in the closing credits of the first 6th season eps as if he was still a regular.

Isn't it amazing that people still have so much fond memories of the earlier episodes with Mike and Bub that are no longer being seen in syndication? If only they were originally produced in Color they would probably be more attractive to TV stations who insist on Color programming and would still be getting broadcast.

TVTOme isn't completely accurate about The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. I have some doubts about MTS also, but still, all-in-all it's a good site for info.

Mcgwirefan, I would like to know how you base your assumptions that the M3S website is not entirely accurate? As editor of this site (and a fan of the show since the 60s) I can vouch for its authenticity. Its is totally accurate because people other than myself consider it to be the most comprehensive and thoroughly researched tribute to the series anywhere on the internet. I have had emails from die hard fans of the show as well as actors and production personnel who have contributed their time and anecdotes to the database, which I feel compliments the episode guide.

Just for your information, I have 341 of the show's 380 episodes on video in my private collection. I have gathered production and background information on the series since 1976 so, for poring over that research for almost 30 years I think I can qualify myself as something of an expert on the show. Make it clear: I am not a casual fan! My knowledge on this series is second to none!!

My sources (and they are not merely based on reviews in TV encyclopaedias) are the original Press sheets (or synopses sheets if you like) for every episode courtesy of CBS Films, Viacom International and Paramount Television. These are the holy grail as far as information is concerned. And I have counter balanced all of this by double checking credits and other background trivia, which not only makes for good reading, but adds a certain amount of viewer indentification with what they remember.
My local station here in Australia was also helpful in providing various missing information that contributes to the totality of the project.

I didn't volunteer to spend over 18 months of my life typing in excess of 95,000 words in TV Tome's database to be judged by someone with what I feel has limited knowledge of just how much time and effort is put into a project of this size and scope. Whilst I have no doubt that minor typos may occasionally be spotted, I am 110% positive of the accuracy of the information and stand by it totally.

I cannot vouch for any other sites within TV Tome, I too have seen many series that's information is incorrect and or incomplete. But being that some "Editors" are volunteering to oversee a project, you must remember that some are just casual fans and don't always have the appropriate resources behind them. Not that there is anything drastically wrong with that, as it certainly leaves room for improvement.

If you bothered to read my profile on the homepage of the site, you would see that I make a point of saying that as editor of the site, it was my ultimate goal to correct the myriad of "misinformation" that is expounded over the internet on other TV sites about "My Three Sons". Examples are given quite readily throughout the Episode guide, but please, if you make such a grandiose statement that you doubt the accuracy of the information on the series, then please support your assumptions with references to such indiscrepancies.

Sorry for the harsh tone of this post, but you really struck a chord with that off handed statement!

Geoff, don't be offended about mcgwirefan's statement. He's correct in that some of the other show listings under TV Tome are less than accurate, and I'm sure that's what he's basing his opinion on. But if he digs into the M3S section just a little, I'm sure he'll see just how thoroughly that section has been researched, and how accurate it obviously is.

You should consider writing one of those TV companion guides that have become so popular over the last few years. You certainly have a good handle on the material.

I'd buy it if you made one.

FIrst of all, I'm not a guy!
Second of all, I did NOT say your MTS section on TV Tome is inaccxurate.
Third, your Ozzie and Harriet site isn't entirely accurrate. I've read almost everything written about them, and am especially interested in what is said about Rick. I'm somewhat of a Nelson expert, or know lots of people who knew Rick personally.
Fourth, I did not mean to insult you. You do a great job on the site. Sorry if I offended you.
