Kind of like M*A*S*H. You have this talented ensemble cast who all bring something special to the show. Granted, there are those who are focused on more in some episodes, but it is the whole cast who "make" the show. Happy Days was one of those kind of shows. How's that for not answering your question?!:) fonz-a-mundo 07-22-2003, 08:58 PM when youre not even supposed to be the star of a show, and people like you so much that you become it, Youre one helluva star!!! We love you arthur fonzarelli, we love you:lol: *Shelle* 07-22-2003, 10:27 PM Originally posted by King Chad Doody Honestly the first 7 Seasons Richie Was the star. Overall it was an ensemble and without the ensemble there would be no HD :) ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-24-2003, 02:02 AM The show was made to make Ron the star. And he was. Henrys role just happened to make him very popular- but that in no way made him the *star*. Ron was still bringing home the bigger paycheck. spunkygirl 07-24-2003, 11:44 AM Originally posted by ¤MsConanOBrien¤ The show was made to make Ron the star. And he was. I agree to a point, I think when most people think of Happy Days, they think of Fonzie, Fonzie is an icon. I think Henry was much a star as Ron was. :) FonzForever 07-24-2003, 08:06 PM The truth is they were BOTH the stars. The heart of the show at it's peak was Richie & Fonzie's relationship. Before Fonzie blew up in popularity the show wasn't doing as well as the network wanted. After Richie left and that dynamic was gone, the show began to wane. They were co-stars and basically their chemistry brought to the show to it's greatest heights. Beyond that, it's was The Fonz's popularity the changed Happy Days. Ask yourself this. Would they even have considered continuing the show after 1980 had Henry Winkler left instead of Ron Howard? Yeah it would have lasted if Fonzie left the show fonz-a-mundo 07-25-2003, 10:07 AM It could have lasted, only no one would have watched it.:p ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-25-2003, 01:27 PM I believe it wouldve lasted- dont know how long though. I mean, the show was primarily based on the Richie/Potsie bond.. theyd probably go back to that. Or, if anything.. try to replace Fonzie.:faint: Fonzies_Chick1945 07-25-2003, 01:38 PM alot more people likes fonzie then richie:p :p :p I bet 3000 watch it becouse of fonzie:p Chad22 07-26-2003, 09:52 PM Originally posted by Fonzies_Chick1945 alot more people likes fonzie then richie:p :p :p I bet 3000 watch it becouse of fonzie:p I Prefer Riche Myself :grr: *InThisMoment* 07-27-2003, 07:56 PM Originally posted by Fonzies_Chick1945 alot more people likes fonzie then richie:p :p :p I bet 3000 watch it becouse of fonzie:p Good Point! Actually Richie was the reason i started watching Believe it or not. I Hated Happy Days as a kid without ever watching it, When it first came on Nick At Nite and had that week long marathon back in about 95-96 I Was flipping through the channels and eventually got to Nick At Nite so i decided to watch a minute of it for the heck of it. The first scene i seen was the part where Richie is in the Kitchen in "Richie Fights Back" And he was demanding Oatmeal instead of Corn Flakes. I Thought that was funny so i kept watching and the rest is history. fonz-a-mundo 07-28-2003, 08:18 AM I started watching because Fonzie looked good, and kept on watching because the show was good:p But lets say fonzie left, Id say the show would have lost at least 20% of its audience. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a lot:lol: ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-28-2003, 02:53 PM Originally posted by King Chad Doody The first scene i seen was the part where Richie is in the Kitchen in "Richie Fights Back" And he was demanding Oatmeal instead of Corn Flakes. I forget the episode (I didnt watch the WHOLE thing I believe) but I do recall it looking like the 3rd season. Then the Chachi-nated & De-Chachi-nated marathon came VERY shortly after, and for some reason I was obsessed. I didnt really know who Chachi was, but I didnt like him! |
