View Full Version : How did they do that? The Modfather 07-22-2003, 07:29 AM In some I love Lucy episodes there in a Helicopter in a sub way who do they do that if there in front of a live audience???? Mickey 07-22-2003, 10:03 AM Sometimes studio bound shows like to film some scenes out of doors. They do this without a laughter track, obviously, then at the relevant part of the episode, the film is shown to the live studio audience, and their laughter is then recorded. Otherwise they'd have to take the whole audience out with them on film shoots! SPLAIN 07-22-2003, 11:12 AM I've seen the helicopter on the boat, but on the subway? The Modfather 07-22-2003, 03:55 PM The subway was in when Lucy got the loving cup stuck on her head.:) ;) dawsongirl 07-23-2003, 12:56 AM Originally posted by Bty The subway was in when Lucy got the loving cup stuck on her head.:) ;) That looked pretty in-studio to me. SPLAIN 07-23-2003, 09:55 AM Of course, to film that they had to have an open set of a car. Then they added shots of moving trains and VOILA! Doesn't it kill you when you watch Friends or whatever and then you see the set in a magazine and realize how they can make you think you're seing ANYTHING? Although i watched an ep of Twilight Zone last night and the New York skyline was so fake it distracted me through the entire scene. Mickey 07-23-2003, 10:29 AM You should watch ER. The scenes supposedly filmed on the hospital roof are so bad the people all have little fuzzy lines around them. :) SPLAIN 07-24-2003, 02:55 PM I have never seen that show, i'm not big on dramas, i prefer comedies, or did you suspect that already? Besides i'm a hypochondriac so i'd think i have every desease they mention, even the female ones! LOL! The Modfather 07-24-2003, 04:14 PM Splain happy birthday! Mickey 07-24-2003, 04:24 PM They don't tend to have diseases in ER, Splain - it's about emergency medicine, so it's car crashes, train smashes, and people falling off roofs. I don't think even a really dedicated hypochondriac could develop those symptoms! SPLAIN 07-25-2003, 04:09 PM Oh you don't know what i'm capable of, and thanks for the birthday greetings BTY! The Modfather 07-25-2003, 07:47 PM No Prob! SPLAIN 07-28-2003, 02:33 PM I see you're from Canada, do i know you from other boards? *ShortCake* 07-29-2003, 10:47 AM haha I dont watch ER due to .. i cant stand hospital stuff.. i am such a wimp!! :D. Blah... The Modfather 07-29-2003, 06:06 PM I see you're from Canada, do i know you from other boards? I am not sure! I'm thinking!:happyface SPLAIN 07-30-2003, 09:36 AM Stop playing with me, who are you? It's great to see someone else from Canada, you're not Brock are you? The Modfather 07-30-2003, 03:41 PM No, I'm not Brock I my name is Luc/Lucas. AtlantaBravesFan29 07-30-2003, 06:30 PM I always thought that the episode that Lucy wore the Loving Cup was shot at a real subway station in New York, not in the studio. That would be kind of hard for someone to have a subway car in the studio where the show was shot. SPLAIN 07-31-2003, 09:53 AM Trust me, it was in a studio, they didn't do location shots yet on the series. AND had the money to do just about anything, my God, they even did the boat The Constitution at one point! Bty, do you visit OTHER boards? The Modfather 07-31-2003, 03:53 PM On this website? And if yes I do I go to Leave it to Beaver, SBTB, Chit Chat and others. And if no I do to go to www.halloweenmovies.com its a good board. SPLAIN 07-31-2003, 04:03 PM No i meant OTHER boards like Lucy Talk or the Lucy Lounge or Babalu's Lucy site or the I Love Lucille Ball forum. Oh my God, don't tell me you're also a Halloween movie fan? The Modfather 07-31-2003, 04:23 PM Ya I only like the 1st one and the 2 one. SPLAIN 08-01-2003, 10:20 AM I agree, only the first two were great, the third one was terrible and then that comeback one with Josh Hartnett as her son was very good. Come and see us on the OTHER boards too, this place is one of five that are very good, and there are new ones also that come out all the time. Each board has something great to offer, this one has Jane and Dawsongirl and Mickey and . . . LucyFan61791 08-02-2003, 10:40 AM Well i love to watch er also i have noticed that when they do sergery most of it happens so easily and my grandma was a nurse and we both agree that that never would happen so easily in a real er AND IT IS TO CLEAN TO BE TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
