In some I love Lucy episodes there in a Helicopter in a sub way who do they do that if there in front of a live audience????:confused:

Sometimes studio bound shows like to film some scenes out of doors. They do this without a laughter track, obviously, then at the relevant part of the episode, the film is shown to the live studio audience, and their laughter is then recorded. Otherwise they'd have to take the whole audience out with them on film shoots!

I've seen the helicopter on the boat, but on the subway?

That looked pretty in-studio to me.

Of course, to film that they had to have an open set of a car. Then they added shots of moving trains and VOILA! Doesn't it kill you when you watch Friends or whatever and then you see the set in a magazine and realize how they can make you think you're seing ANYTHING? Although i watched an ep of Twilight Zone last night and the New York skyline was so fake it distracted me through the entire scene.

You should watch ER. The scenes supposedly filmed on the hospital roof are so bad the people all have little fuzzy lines around them. :)

I have never seen that show, i'm not big on dramas, i prefer comedies, or did you suspect that already? Besides i'm a hypochondriac so i'd think i have every desease they mention, even the female ones! LOL!

They don't tend to have diseases in ER, Splain - it's about emergency medicine, so it's car crashes, train smashes, and people falling off roofs. I don't think even a really dedicated hypochondriac could develop those symptoms!

I always thought that the episode that Lucy wore the Loving Cup was shot at a real subway station in New York,not in the studio. That would be kind of hard for someone to have a subway car in the studio where the show was shot.

Trust me, it was in a studio, they didn't do location shots yet on the series. AND had the money to do just about anything, my God, they even did the boat The Constitution at one point! Bty, do you visit OTHER boards?

I agree, only the first two were great, the third one was terrible and then that comeback one with Josh Hartnett as her son was very good. Come and see us on the OTHER boards too, this place is one of five that are very good, and there are new ones also that come out all the time. Well i love to watch er also i have noticed that when they do sergery most of it happens so easily and my grandma was a nurse and we both agree that that never would happen so easily in a real er AND IT IS TO CLEAN TO BE TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek:
