View Full Version : Teenage Marriage
iluvfacts14 01-08-2001, 11:05 PM I thought this episode was really informational. It taught me more about the consequences of teen marriages than school has. And especially the part where Blairsays that someday Jo will get married and Blair will be her maid=of-honor.....I can only think of the ep in the last season.
In the credits alot of scenes were shown that I hadn't seen in the show......for anyone who has the full ep, which scenes were cut out? The show seems to get shorter and shorter every day. Pretty soon, we're gonna be left with....You take the good you take the bad, the facts of life are all about you! Starting and ending credits, that's all we'll have!!!!!
Argh! I would like to be able to see the entire episode for once!!
Anyways, back to my reasons, I thought this ep was GREAT and I'm glad THEY didn't band it!! (like they've done with EVERY other one)
------------------
Mr. Bradley: .....and that girls is the thrill of victory!
Tootie: Or the agony of DA FEET!
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
(Tootie starts rambling)
Natalie (thinking): I am going to nail her mouth to the floor. I can picture it now there'd be a spike through her tongue, but the lips would still be moving. She'd just keep whining on and on about how she'd never do that to me because she's my best friend. And if it made me feel guilty about nailing her mouth to the floor than she's glad I did it and......
(stops and realizes everyone's looking at her)
I agree that the episode really was informative. Something I found interesting though that I keep playing over and over in my head is this:
Jo says to Blair in the restroom that she thought Blair had invited her and Eddie out to dinner because of friendship. This sorta tells me that Jo was beginning to trust Blair a bit more, but of course that got screwed up, because in Jo's mind Blair wasn't trying to help out all. Another thing was the way Blair described to Jo how she was a basketcase now, but one day after high school and college she thought Jo had great potential... I just thought that entire thing was pretty interesting...anyone else notice this?
LOL, iluvfacts, I was thinking the same thing. If they edit out anymore of the episodes they might be able to fit two episodes in a half hour block because they keep getting shorter and shorter! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

[Jo to Blair]
Jo: Did you know that when you shake hands your lips 'pucker'?
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Beverly Ann: Let's see. It's tomorrow in Africa so if I want to talk to Edna today then I should have called her yesterday...
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Blair: The worst thing about falling asleep at the wheel is that I didn't get to see my whole life flash in front of my eyes.
Jo: Well that woulda killed ya for sure.

Natluver4ever 01-08-2001, 11:24 PM i totally agree with u iluvfacts14! it was a great episode. and it was very informational. i especially liked the part where eddie first came in and natalie says "hello, sailor!" i thought that was too funny.
Rick&Jo 01-08-2001, 11:29 PM I saw it too and it was great. Jo was very pretty. there, I said it! Now the hole world knows that I think she's pretty! And now I'm going to tell the world anouther thing: I hate Eddie, I think he's a big jerk! there, I said that to. I may be acting crazy but believe me, I only act that way when I think about Jo.
coily2 01-09-2001, 09:00 AM I thought Eddie was sweet.... I like him more than Rick.
JoBlaiRNaTooT 01-09-2001, 04:53 PM yeah, rick annoyed me for some reason. lol. her and eddie were cute together i thought. anyway, when they were showing the credits, they showed a part where tootie was throwing dishes into a thing natalie was holding...does anyone know what that scene was about? cuz in "the way we were" eps they played that clip, but i don't know how it started or ended. anyone know?

"You're born, you move on, you die. That's life." ~ Jo Polniaczek
Margo: "I'm on a diet. I'll just have one roll."
Jo: "I've seen you in gym clothes. You've got a lot more that one roll!"
JMPolniaczek15 01-09-2001, 08:25 PM What I don't get is, how come they consider an episode about shoplifting "controversial", but not one about teenage marriage?! I wonder who decides which eps. not to air. Oh, well. I loved it anyway! Can't wait to see part 2! And I agree with "Rick&Jo", I think Jo is very pretty too. You're not alone!
I'm_NMK 01-09-2001, 08:32 PM same here! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Abbey22 01-09-2001, 08:41 PM Are they considering the shoplifting episode a contraversial one? Just curious about that since they did show it at least once before.

FOLmania 01-11-2001, 01:14 AM I thought Jo was so cute the way she opened her shower gifts and kissed Nat and Tootie. Then when Blair shoved that box in her lap and it ended up being a sexy nightie - well, I couldn't believe it! Did everyone notice how Nancy nearly dropped half of it when she took it out of the box? Kind of a blooper. I had to rewind that scene a couple of times.
And the pink ski jacket that Jo was wearing - I remember wearing one like that in high school.
Nancy's acting was fantastic in this one. Well, I could go on and on ...my favorite ep so far - even better than New Girl Part 1 and 2!
But really, I haven't even seen Season 2 yet. Boy, am I in for a treat!
Chelsea 01-11-2001, 01:43 AM nice reply

LOL!!!! I had the same jacket! And the matching moonboots! *cringe*
JMPolniaczek15 01-11-2001, 08:50 PM Where's the part where Blair says to Jo: "I just want you to know you and Eddie have my blessing." And Jo says: "Do you know what this means to me? Nothing!" Did I just miss that or did they cut that out?

Natalie: Nice to meet you, Cinnamon. This is my friend, Ginger Curry, and I'm Ground Cloves.
Jeanie 01-11-2001, 10:04 PM Blair said that to Jo in Seems Like Old Times. Hope that helps.

rocknroll7777 01-12-2001, 03:34 PM That episode is one of my favorites...u know what I find funny tough...i think Jo knew Eddie for a longer time then she knew Rick when he proposed
------------------
If "The Facts Of Life" were all about you, why weren't u ever on the show?
coily2 01-12-2001, 05:54 PM I knew my doorman longer and better than Jo and Rick knew each other.... That always annoyed me how rushed the marriage seems.
However, as a very happily married woman, I can say for sure that when you meet that special someone, you know, right away.
