What kind of polish do you use to help make your nails grow faster and stronger? I've also heard eating jello helps them grow, is that true?

I've also heard eating jello helps them grow, is that true? ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-20-2003, 03:40 PM Ah! This is so my topic!!:D Anyways, like hair, there is no "secret" to growing nails fast. The best way to get them to grow is to make them healthy. File all them to one length, cute hang nails, and push back your cuticles. If you want your nails to grow, buy a nail hardener to make them strong. If theyre soft and brittle, theyre just going to break. Nails grow about 1/4 a month. Can't we just eat jello?;) Don't get confused.:) I'm a guy and I clip my nails whenever they start to... look uncomfortable. *Nancy Mckeon* 07-20-2003, 06:45 PM I have sorta long nails and i don't use any nail polish. and i don't really eat jello that much (tho i luv the stuf lol) so there really isn't a secret. Titania 07-20-2003, 09:32 PM my nails are good now but they always are longer in the summer, maybe because less stress means im less likely to break them. ~*Hannah_Lee*~ 07-20-2003, 10:13 PM I need this advice too, I'm trying to grow mine back. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-21-2003, 12:04 AM Originally posted by ~*Hannah_Lee*~ I need this advice too, I'm trying to grow mine back. o0o0o yayy!! Keep me updated!:D  PZelda 07-21-2003, 12:22 AM I have heard that what you drink can affect your nails... Say you don't drink a lot of milk. Your nails are more likely to be weak and thin if you don't get a lot of milk, but if you drink plenty of milk every day, you should be OK. I am happy to say I have nice nails and that my thumbnails on both hands are SUPER long - almost 1/2 inch long. I've been growing them out since at least April or May. If you want to grow them out long, I recommend using a nail polish on them. Any color you want. Right now, only my thumbnails have polish on them - it's this really neat heat-sensitive polish that is purple when you apply it and becomes light blue when exposed to warmth and it stays purple if it's cold. Because my thumbnails are SO long, there's a lot of purple. My thumbnails look waaaaaaay too pretty to chew off now. ;) ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-21-2003, 12:30 AM Originally posted by PZelda: VICKI!! DRINK YOUR MILK! Rockapella722 07-21-2003, 12:41 AM What difference does pushing back your cuticles make, Crystal? I'm interested. :talk: Not that long ago I had this white blotch in my left middle finger's nail. Was that from not drinking enough milk? It finally grew out and I cut the nail yesterday. I have another little one on my right ring finger's nail. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-21-2003, 12:56 AM Originally posted by Rockapella722 What difference does pushing back your cuticles make, Crystal? I have another little one on my right ring finger's nail. Cuticles are made my dead skin, and nails are made from dead skin cells. By pushing back the cuticles (NEVER CUTTING!! :nonono: ), you allow your nails to breathe. You push them back with an orange stick. It could be from lack of calcium, thats usually what it means. *Nancy Mckeon* 07-25-2003, 08:24 PM Originally posted by ¤MsConanOBrien¤ (NEVER CUTTING!! :nonono: ) ooops! -ill remember that next time!.... *Marilyn Monroe* 07-25-2003, 08:33 PM Ow..I'd never cut them anyway. But, I have lots of white lines, but i thought they were from bruises. (I'm pretty clumsy lol) Guess not. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-26-2003, 12:59 AM Originally posted by *Marilyn Monroe* Ow..I'd never cut them anyway. AllIWantIsYourClutch 07-26-2003, 01:06 AM Crystal what the hell is your obsession with nails? Lady T 07-26-2003, 01:53 AM I have very long, natural nails and my best advice is. Stay away from washing dishes. Eat a lot of food with protein, like eggs and meats and green vegetables like spinach and also foods with a lot of calcium, like cottage cheese and yogurt. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-26-2003, 02:05 AM Originally posted by foxyhonky1975 I have very long, natural nails and my best advice is.
