GrapeJelly 07-20-2003, 05:10 AM don't be discouraged...the man, he's not so hard to understand  Chad22 07-20-2003, 05:13 AM But THE MAN is always trying to put him down :( GrapeJelly 07-20-2003, 05:14 AM Originally posted by King Chad Doody But THE MAN is always trying to put him down :( Damn him  Prince 07-20-2003, 10:11 AM The "Man" did put Chico down at first...but they grew to love each other later on in the show. Jack and Freddie were wonderful friends and Jack even put Freddie in his will. I think Freddie was the son that Jack never had. The put downs is what made the show so endearing. They sure were a good team...miss them lots. GrapeJelly 07-20-2003, 10:53 AM Originally posted by Macca The "Man" did put Chico down at first...but they grew to love each other later on in the show. I Jsut wanted to say "THE MAN Is always trying to put him down" The show does look funny though, If it ever comes back to TV Land or anything ill have to give it a try :D GrapeJelly 07-20-2003, 12:40 PM Originally posted by Macca No problem. Aww what a cool welcome, thanks! :D I have the entire series on tape...it's a sitcom must have! ;) Prince 07-20-2003, 01:05 PM Yes it is...the more I watch it, the funnier it gets and Freddie just keeps getting better and better looking with each new season. Have you ever seen his movie the Million Dollar Rip-Off? OMG...that is a must have. His acting is wonderful. I'll post a pic from the movie. Pitooey 07-20-2003, 01:28 PM Welcome King Chad and Grapejelly! We love us some Chico over here....... Like Macca said.... In the beginning of the series Jack was MEAN with Chico but, then Chico became the son he never had. Plus there were alot of visitors on the show like Sammy Davis Jr. Della Reese, and a host of others. But "US" fans fell in love with Chico AKA Freddie....... hue_mee 07-20-2003, 04:02 PM How very true! Chico and the Man was a classic 70's comedy series. I watched it endlessly when TVLand aired it a while back. Then when the Movie "million dollar rip off (TV) surfaced on video tape, I enjoyed watching Freddie play a different role. As I watch the CATM tapes again. I can not help but laugh and smile over the shows creativity with all the actors that appeared there. The humor and timing that each actor's character protrayed was perfect! Joy 07-20-2003, 11:43 PM I agree suz 100% both the movie and the shoews are awesome and i hope all you newcomers will get to see that for yourselves very soon, and welcome!!! Goodnight Gracie 07-21-2003, 01:48 AM Anyone have any idea what Jack might of left Freddie in his will? Did Freddies son get what Jack left his dad? Joy 07-21-2003, 08:22 AM I am thinking that anything he would have given to Freddie went to his own Daughter when he died but i don't know for sure. But i too wonder what he was planning on leaving Freddie? |
