hey guys...i was bored, so i went to ebay and looked up FOL stuff, and there is a big poster there from the newspaper or something w/ a picture of Nancy McKeon as Jo, and next to it it says, "Nominated for best supporting actress in a tv comedy" or something. i didn't know she was nominated for an emmy! that's so cool...i wonder who beat her? anyway, there's also an unused ticket for sale, from a 1985 show. it says where it was filmed and everything...and it said under 14 years not admitted!!! anyway, they've got some cool stuff...u should check it out. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I saw that on ebay too, and it's not that she was nominated for an emmy. When the award shows are about to make the nominations, the shows producers or networks (I'm not sure which) put ads in the trade papers sort of suggesting people in their shows they feel should be nominated. So they put her in their "for your consideration..." It is pretty cool though that they thought highly enough of her to push for an emmy nomination.

Well, actually, I know that Nancy McKeon won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy like, three years in a row. But I think it was for Youth in Film and Television, or something like that. And I know Lisa Whelchel was nominated in the same catagory, but lost to Nancy every time. Now if I was was her, i'd feel a little jealous...

Thats very interesting to think thing that Nancy McKeon was such a great actress for protraying her roll as Jo in Fol in would be cool to see 'Jo' win an emmy for being tough. It would have been cool to visit the Emmys with that ticket :)
