View Full Version : I CRIED!!! anyone else?
80skid 12-23-2000, 12:26 PM I started to get a huge lump in my throat @ the beginning of Blair's accident ep, and then by the third scene of Jo's wedding ep I was bawling!!!!!! I'm not kidding ~ anyone else cry? hope I'm not alone! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
------------------
Pippa: Won't you tell me now?
Blair: Tomorrow.
Jo: Rick...
Pippa: Rick?
Jo/Nat/Blair: Tomorrow, Pippa!
Natalie: A flashback within a flashback... I'm so brilliant it scares me!
Natalie: You thought she was the delivery boy? I was gonna ask her to the fall dance before I knew! [from my favorite ep, New girl part 1]
Jo: you're born, you grow, you die, hey that's life.
I honestly don't know if I laugh or cried more. I knew what to expect before the show even started so as soon as the credits came on I started anticipating the Blair accident and the Blair/Jo scene and the anticipation really got to me. I LOVED that episode.
THEN, by the time Rick proposed and Jo's face lit up and he showed her the 'photo album' I was cracking up and feeling sad at the same time. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hopper: You know I am really a shy kind of guy,but I have been watching you from across the cabin, and I said to myself,"Hopper don't let this one slip away!"
Jo: You know I have been watching you too.You have a lot to be shy about!
*************************
Beverly Ann: Let's see. It's tomorrow in Africa so if I want to talk to Edna today then I should have called her yesterday...
*************************
Natalie: It's a busy day for me. I have to go down to the newspaper office, get a lung transplant...
*************************
Beverly Ann: I wonder what's wrong with Jo.
Blair: Today or in general?
*************************
Blair: Where have you been?
Jo: At the library.
Blair: Oh, reading "Dumbo", how cute.
Jo: I don't have to read "Dumbo." I bunk right next to her.
*************************
Blair: But if I'm not perfect... and that's a *BIG* if, then it wasn't his place to say so.
Jo: You're right. It's my place to say so.
JMarie_Polniaczek 12-23-2000, 01:02 PM I cried in both episodes. They were both pretty sad. But those were great episodes. Good thing I taped them. (And for me crying, that is just to weird, I am NOT the sentimental type.) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Tootie: I've got it, I'VE GOT IT!
Jo: Well what, are you waiting for a drum roll or something?
Jo: Well, I am not going to stand here and play stupid guessing games. Who is it!?
Pippa: Franny!
Jo: See its just Franny. Who the hell is Franny!?
Pippa: I used her name to prevent any kufufal.
Jo: Yeah well your in plenty of....kufufal now.
Blair: Sure, pretty soon we all will be getting married and moving out, then Pippa and Jo can have it all to themselves.
Blair: We talk about appointment calender things. These are numbers, this is a one, can you say one?
Bailey: One.
Blair: My, this is fun. This is a two, can you say two?
Bailey: Two.
Blair: And this is a....oh no.
Jo: Well looks like your on your own now Bailey, thats as high as she can go.
Blair: And maybe if your real good Aunt Natalie will let you type something...hmmm.
Natalie: If she's that good she can type the whole damn thing.
Blair: Aunt Natalie, why don't you tell us how we are today.
Natalie: We are suicidle.
Beverly Ann: That means one of us is the killer.
Tootie: Well, its not me.
Jo: Or me.
Beverly Ann: Or me. I guess we will have to wait for one of us to kill one of us to find out which one of us it is.
Beverly Ann: I'll call the police.....thats funny theres no dial tone.
Jo: The storm must have brought the line down.
Natalie: Or maybe somebody cut it!
Tootie: Cut it?
Beverly Ann: Cut it?
Jo: Cut it out!
Blair: You wear it around your head?
Jo: Yeah, give us a break and wrap it around your face.
TheFactsOfLife 12-23-2000, 01:49 PM I cried in the axcident alot. i really didnt like the wedding episode. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
I'm not the sentimental type either but "the Facts of Life" just gets to me sometimes! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Jo-Po Rox 12-23-2000, 05:43 PM I didnt cry for last nights eps but I did get very teary eyed in the ep where Jo left to Cali! Which is totally unlike me.
JoBonner161 12-23-2000, 06:05 PM I didn't like the accident one so I didn't get emotional when it was on, but when Jo got married...let's just say I used about three boxes of tissues from the first scene to the last! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
JoRocks87FOL 12-24-2000, 12:21 AM i acctually cried more during the wedding ep than the other. i like Jo way more than blair, so it didn't really move me as much, but i wish i could have taped the wedding! jo and rick are perfect for eachother! and they love eachother so much!

Mrs G: no, but i have an idea, you girls got any ideas?
Nat:Nope, not me!
Blair: Not Muah! Jo?
Jo:Me? uh... no, i havent had an idea since '79!
Nat: well if she's that good she can right the whole damn thing!
Jo:i dont wanna stand here and play guessing games, who is it?
Pippa:oh, it's only Frannie!
Jo: see, it's only Frannie! who the hell is Frannie?
Jo: Blair had to go out, so now I am hosting Mr. Jo's Nieghborhood!
JMPolniaczek15 01-10-2001, 08:30 PM I cried during Jo and Rick's wedding, partly beacuse it was so sweet, and partly because I still wanted JO to be independent!

Nat: You are what you eat.
Jo: And what do you eat, scrap metal?
Mrs. G: Natalie, go show Jo a better place to park her motorcycle.
Jo: Why don't I just park it on Blair's face?
Natalie: She's a breath of fresh air, isn't she?
coily2 01-11-2001, 09:09 AM I cried during the wedding episode since it was probably the WORST wedding episode in the history of sitcoms... It was thrown together, there was no anticipation, not to mention that we didn't know much about the groom, but the bride is someone we had grown to love over the previous 8 years. It was a sad day in television comedies. At the very least, they should have split it into a two part episode or something, have Jo accept the engagement at the end of an episode, then have the wedding the next. There are all sorts of hijinks that can ensue from planning a wedding and they could have easily filled a half an hour with them.
Schmoopie 06-08-2019, 09:50 PM I've just started watching TFOL after a very, very long absence but now I'm curious about this ep. I'm trying to watch them in order in the hopes that they will be airing that way, so when I get to this episode, I will comment on it.
