it's ok.....TJ said that he was really going to go after the people whose siggies were way more than 60 or 70 k. :)

TJ said if you went a little over 50 k it wasn't bad, as long as it wasn't over 70 or higher. I have a small suggestion, though. Maybe you could try just condensing your topics for TJ into one? Or you could always email or IM him

It has nothing to do with any complaints or anything, for the most part people followed the rules. I turned them off for the performance issue of the boards only.

In other words, to make the boards load faster. Theyve always worked the same for me, with or without signs.

They have always loaded fine for me. I think this really sucks. He takes them away, then gives them back now he's taking them away again. :(

I'd rather have a sig then a photo gallery. This board really sucks these days. And if you call me a cry baby or say then why don't you leave, i don't really care. Its just my opinion.

Well, this just plain sucks (again). What's this photo gallery for? Photos of sitcoms? I don't really have a use for that, personally. I capture my own pics and I'd rather have a sig. Give a little, take back a little. Life sucks. :rolleyes:

Correct Me If I'm Wrong, But I think what TJ means is that you can upload your own photos, because everyone will have their own Photo Gallery. I remember reading that somewhere, but what will be the use of that if theirs no siggys?

Yah.. I wont really have a reason to upload pics without a sign.

all i want is a small pic in my sig, people can disable sigs if they want things to go faster, i was perfectly content with the way things were with the last set of rules, and i didn't hear anyone complain about the speed of the boards.

I know, me to. Sometimes I think TJ is only going doing this to us to be mean. No one was breaking the rules and people do have the choice to disable sigs and avs. And as for the photo gallery, why in the hell are we gonna have one if there are no sigs.

I agree, Mary. I liked having the sign. show up once per page. Not to mention people did try their best to keep in with the rules.

Yes yes yes. We have over 15,000 members on this board, and only a small handful post- let alone have a sign. If you dont wish to have a sign. or view them, simply turn off the feature.

That's very true...

But I think TJ is saying that now the whole board is hosted on one server, before there was two, all the sigs might put to much of a strain on the server and crash it.

Okay, well if we're not allowed to have pics in our sigs can I please make a vb code suggestion. Could you please add the center tag code. I can't stand not having my sig centered.

I agree. We still have two weeks left until August 1st. That's quite a while from now. If the galleries don't prove too popular, can we please have our siggies back? I mean, Mysty Eyes was the one that suggested hosting images from mywebpage.netscape.com and it is what I use now to host my images. All you need is your AIM screenname to log in and you'll be fine. So, Mads, put your 50+ AIM usernames to use. :D

I don't mind that we don't have pictures in our signatures again. I don't come here for the signatures. And now the boards are loading a lot faster for me (I didn't have problems before, but I've noticed since the images have been taken out the boards are loading faster), soI'm sort of happy about the change.

Hmm..well, if you had read the blend post first, you would have seen that I said it was okay. I didn't make up the about 50 K rule, I read it in the old sticky. So I guess you were trying to report me, (though I personally didn't use it, but I made it, anyway)when really you are supposed to report sigs that are way over the 50 K limit. Well, not that it matters anymore cuz there are no more sigs anyway, sorry, just had to get that out.

Anyway, I'll miss sig pics (again, lol) but oh well, at least we still have avatars and attachments. And what really matters is the content of a post, the sig just makes it prettier.
