TV LAND FANTASY ISLAND MARATHON

Summer may be coming to a close, but viewers can still escape to paradise when TV Land airs a four-night primetime marathon of the popular series Fantasy Island. Beginning Monday August 25-Thursday, August 28 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. (all times ET/PT).

NEW YORK, Aug. 4 -- Summer may be coming to a close, but viewers can still escape to paradise when TV Land airs a four night primetime marathon of the popular series Fantasy Island. Beginning Monday August 25-Thursday, August 28 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. (all times ET/PT), the
network will air three back-to-back episodes each night of the show where ordinary people's lives are changed forever. Fantasy Island airs regularly Mondays-Fridays at 8 p.m.

"There is always glamour and excitement at Fantasy Island," said Larry W. Jones, Executive Vice President and General Manager, TV Land and Nick at Nite. "TV Land is happy to provide our viewers with an escape to this paradise where
wishes always come true."

Executive produced by Aaron Spelling, this romantic drama (Love Boat, Dynasty) was set on a remote island resort and was a major hit from 1978 to 1984. Each episode consists of several different stories, all with the same result -- the island's visitors always have their lifelong dreams realized. Whether it is an innocent island visitor wanting to become sexy and
sophisticated during their stay, or a frustrated family man wanting respect from his clan -- every fantasy comes true. Many of the storylines focus on ordinary people seeking glamour and excitement in their lives.

The island's owner, the suave Mr. Roarke (Ricardo Montalbon) and his helper Tattoo (Herve Villechaize) oversee the different dramas each week. Roarke becomes increasingly mysterious in later seasons, involving himself with spells and potions, and Tattoo is later replaced with Lawrence (Christopher Hewitt) as Roarke's sidekick. Guest stars throughout the show's
