I've been a nail biter for as long as I remember. Then just one day, I suddenly stopped cold turkey.. this was, i dunno, 3 or 4 weeks ago? Don't remember. Anyway... my finger naisl and getting a pretty good length, there not real long, but after having nubs for nails for years they seem pretty long. Anyways, i've got a "biting" attack and am trying to keep myself from biting them off! but it's so tempting!!

I think I need the patch....

I used to bite my nails ALL the time. And then I stopped. But every once in a while I'll get one of those "biting attacks" and I'll bite 'em off anyway. And then i regret it. But I always let them grow back. I used to be really bad with biting my nails though and now its like "Omg my nail broke. I'm gonna die." lol. So yeah i used to bite my nails.

My nails are terrible, I have to stop biting them. :mad:

I used to bite my nails ALL the time, but now I only bite them off if they get too long. My thumbnails are as tough as nails (pun intended :lol: ), so I NEVER bite those off - but sometimes I have to because they get soooooo long :eek: - my right thumbnail is currently HALF AN INCH LONG! I'm going to try to see if I can grow it to an inch long before I have to bite it off. :D

Arrrrrrrrgh, I can't stop biting mine. It's like an addiction or something. I may need counseling. :lol:

I found this little Junior marching bass drum and since I'm in the drum captain of my high school (even though I play Center Snare not bass! :lol: ) I was kinda like "omg...if she found a real bass drum and put it on her shoulders she would die!" :lol: yeah i was mad because you were complaining that it was heavy...i kno my dreams are weird! :crazy:

I have a very BAD habit of biting my nails. Except my pinkey's. I let those grow out and i never bite them, but the others...pssssh forget it.

Biting your nails will only lead to an infection down the road, so dont bite them!

To prevent nail attacks, I suggest:
Painting your nails. By painting your nails a pretty color, youll be pleased with how they look and will want to keep it up.

By some of the special nail polish that tastes nasty, so when you go to bite them, you wont like the taste.

Also, remember-- when growing out your nails be sure to put on a base coat to help them grow!

I have that same problem, when they feel too long I can't help but bite them :o

I bite my nails whenever I think they get too long.

I've been biting my nails since I was little. I gave it up a couple of years ago for lent, and had stopped for like a year, and only bit them when they got too long...but then I started again. However...ever since I came to the beach I haven't bit them...I'm so proud of myself...AND I haven't had NE urges to bite them either!!!

I bite mine all the time I think it's genetic because my mom and grandma both bite their nails. When in doubt blame your parents;)

I did the exact same thing. And mine got long too. So instead of biting them I started picking underneath them. Then they got fragile and I couldn't do anything with the. So I clipped them down, and the biting started again. So I am back where I started.

Anyways, lol.. if you dont like them long, trim them back and file them. You can still have nice nails even if theyre short.:D

My nails were ugly long....they didnt look right..

They will forever look like this....

I bite mine, but not that bad because they aren't really short of anything, they are kinda long. But I seem to bite the nails on my left hand more than my right because they are shorter. That's really weird. :eek:

:lol: Trust me, youll know. Itll get red around the nails, a lil swollen, pusy. If it gets bad enough, you will have to go to the doctors.

Ouch!! That made my nails hurt when I read this post. :lol: I remember now, that happened to me once or twice when I was a LOT younger. :crying: I didn't have to go to the doc, tho, so it must not have been that bad. :D

Haha, I may try to grow them back out before school starts...
