Congratulations to Tony Shalhoub on his Emmy nomination. I don't always agree with the Emmys. In fact, they pretty much suck because they hardly ever recognized Wings. I say hardly because the guest stars actually won. It also seems like the same people and the same shows are nominated every year. A few thoughts-On E!, they mentioned that The West Wing has lost its luster from previous years. I don't watch the show but if its not as good now, WHY WAS IT NOMINATED?!!!. Marg Helgenberg was nominated for best actress for CSI. Then why wasn't William Petersen nominated for best actor? And why wasn't 'MONK' nominated?! This makes no sense. I was happy about certain nominations like my hottie Keifer Sutherland and 24, but some of those other nominations! Puh-leeeeez!!

Tony Shalhoub got an Emmy nomination? yay!
oh i just found the Emmy announcement online.
I'm glad Jennifer Garner is nominated for best actress in a drama for Alias...
but none of the other nominations are for shows I actually watch... awards shows suck. (unless someone wins who deserves it. but usually that doesn't happen.)

Hooray for Tony!
While I'm no fan of Monk myself, it's definitely cool to see someone from Wings finally having another hit show and getting the respect they deserve. It's a shame Wings and none of the cast members never got so much as nominations. I rarely pay attention to awards shows anymore. I think it's more of a popularity contest than awarding actual talent. Sorry, but I don't know how Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond get lots of Emmy nominations (and win some) and Wings never got anything. ( :offtopic: I like ELR, but Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton winning awards while no one from Wings ever got nominated is just wrong, IMHO.)
From The Simpsons...
Lisa: "This awards show is the biggest farce I ever saw!"
Bart: "What about the Emmys?"
Lisa: "I stand corrected."

Tyne Daly also got nominated for an Emmy.
I really hope Tony wins!!! I think its so odd how they have 6 best actor and 6 best supporting actor nominees. If they are going to make the category into six, they should make the other actor and actresses categories into 6 nominees too.

I didn't know about Tyne Daly's nomination at the time I posted this morning. I was watching E! and they just announced the major catagories, although I thought that supporting actor and actress was a major catagory. I think the reason there were 6 nominees for best actor in a comedy was there must have been a tie in the nominations. The industry does vote for the nominations. :) :D ;) :p
