I regularly go to this great invision board, and I was wondering if any of you had the idea to sort of like upgrade to it. Like Smilies and Avatars, etc. Good idea or not?

i mightve misinterperated your question, but if you're asking if you should have smilies and avatars, i say yes, good idea
