I don't. The only person I tell is my husband. I'm a private person by nature, and this is my hideaway.
I'm not a liar, but suppose I told a friend I couldn't get together because I had other plans or something--well that friend could tell I was home if I posted here that day.
Suppose I don't feel like answering the phone....situations like that. I don't like anyone having the ability to monitor my whereabouts.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

So far, I have only told my mom and dad.....they basically don't really want to know what goes on in here so I basically have complete privacy when here at SO. :)

I tell some of my co-workers. But none of them care enough about sitcoms to actually come here. I didn't tell any of them about the Chit Chat section.

2 of my friends come here...It's not a big deal cuz all my friends know im a little on the strange side anyways. :p And my parents...yes they know cuz they wonder occasionally where the mail from MA and other places come from...as well as phone calls. My dad occasionally asks me how many posts I have and what place I'm in...lol cuz he thinks im a moron too.

I've mentioned it to my mom, but my friends wouldn't really care so I don't tell them about it.

Well, my parents know I go here, though I'd NEVER let them see my siggy because I usually have pictures of Jarlena making out. lol. My friends all know, they all come here too, Hannah was the first one to join then I joined so we could talk about IDOJ and stuff, well then Leah joined and Jennifer joined though Jennifer doesn't post much, Amanda doesn't have the internet or she'd join too. nope... my parents know I have a few friends who I correspond with through mail and phone (Caitlin [well they've met her so it doesn't matter] and Amy, and Jamie) and they know that I am always on a site about 'sitcoms' and talk to people about shows and stuff but they don't know what the website is or anything.

I tell some people I know about SO but they dont know what the hell I'm talking about. :lol:

I've talked about to my parents. I told a co-worker about it. She's on here as Belle Black. Everyone else thinks it's nice, but my parents don't do much on the internet so they wouldn't come here.

my parents know i go to some sitcom website, but they dont know about anyone from here...and theyd think i was insane if they did...two of my friends know a little.

Yeah that's how I mentioned it to my friend that knows, just like I don't know the name of the board she goes to. So whenever I mention it to her I just say, "my message board."

Funny you should ask, I was just telling 2 people last night. Only I said "a message board I go to." I don't want people I know offline on here, it would spoil the fun.

Same here. I'll say this entertainment site if I want to tell someone how people are feeling about a certain subject, but I never say Sitcoms Online.

I never tell any of my friends or family about coming on here. Although my mom started freaking out a month ago because I was coming online so much, so I showed her sort of what it was, she wouldn't come though because she's not that good with a computer. My dad one day saw me responding to a post, and was completely annoyed by it, but then I guess he forgot. I love these boards, it's like a secret hidaway I can go to. I will never tell any of my friends about it.
