I was gone and didn't get to see it. Did anyone watch it tonight?

Yup I did, and I taped it. I don't know when they're going to be showing her IP, though. Probably not for a long time. :(

I saw it! It was good. Interestingly, she claimed that when she wrote her autobiography in 1995 she was in a depressed state after her show was cancelled. That's why she seemed to be so down on her family, etc. She stated that her sister didn't speak to her for years but all is well now. Also she said that she was glad that the book is out of print!

 I remember that! When she mentioned that about her book, that made me think...She DID sound mad at the world when she did her book...You can't quite tell at first, but if you read it again, it does. She did her book eight years ago, though, so a lot has happened since then. I was wondering if she ever made up with her sister, Joni, and I am glad to hear she has. :) HOPEFULLY she'll do another book after she finishes her tour (I think sometime in late 2004). If she did that, that would be so awesome.

I missed it because I went to see Martina (which was definitely worth it). I planned on taping it for a week, but I forgot! Oh well, I'll see it someday.

Intimate Portrait is on every day at 5:00 A. M. If you are up at that time maybe you will catch it! If I happen to see that the Vicki one is on again I'll try to remember to post it here. Maybe you could record it next time if you don't get up that early?:sleep2: :sleep2:

I'll be sure to keep an eye out online...

You can record beforehand, you know. :)

Sigh...I wish I'd caught Betty White's Biography. :crying:

I just can't get enough of Vicki...She is SO SO SO SO pretty, I can't stand it sometimes. She's pretty in that very cute way. :D

Did Dorothy Van commit suicide because the show was cancelled? I saw in another topic that she committed suicided in '95. Was this why? It's sad.

The show that I referred to was Vicki's talk show.Mama's Family was cancelled in 1990 I believe. I think I read somewhere that Dorothy Van committed suicide because she had been suffering from terminal cancer. She might have been in agonizing pain, poor thing. Does anybody know the particulars?

Dorothy Van did commit suicide while she had breast cancer.

As for MF, it wasn't cancelled---Vicki opted to stop doin' the show.

At least, that's what Betty White says in one of her books. :)
