Did I spell it right?
What episode did Ralph mention this? I remember he was going to Italy and gonna buy Mrs Manicotti the stuff.
It got a chuckle from the audience. I wonder why.

Not sure of the spelling either, but Fotchamarra Motzaroni cheese was a tag-line used by Gleason for years on his old variety show. One of his characters was a TV "pitchman" named Stanley R. Sogg who would come on supposedly during a movie break to sell the famous "Mother Fletcher" line of products. He would offer many "free" gifts to the first 100 callers, and the one he would hold up last would always be "a 3 pound wedge of Mother Fletcher's Fotchamarra Motzaroni cheese" - this became as much of a catch phrase as "How Sweet It Is" and "Away We Go!" - This is why the audience laughed when he used it years later. By the way, the Stanley R. Sogg character is what Johnny Carson patterned his "Art Fern" Tea Time Movie character after.....or should I say STOLE!

*Slaps you on the shoulder ala Ralph slapping Norton*
"Caaaammmmmmm annnnnn"
Thanks for the information. That's quite interesting. I know the Carson character, the one with the dumb blonde, the hawker type guy. Sadly I have never seen Jackie's performance, but see now it was a bit of a "aside" at the audience. Cool history bit, my man!
