TJ --

Is it possible to delete old topics? With 5000+ (and over 1000+ in TFOL Fan Fiction section), it's getting harder and harder to get through all this. I've only been posting on this board for a month, and it's amazing how fast things are changed.

With all the posts, many topics can get lost too. If you check it in the morning and evening, there may be 50+ posts in that time. It takes awhile to get through it all.

I'm just wondering if:

a) Topics over 6 months old could be deleted?
b) Initial topic-posters could have the ability to delete their posts?
c) Other suggestions from posters??

OR... can a seperate message board be set up for reunion info. I know you said that it was "on your list of things to do," and I'm not trying to be a jerk about it. I just like organization, and keeping things together.

However, I still appreciate your hardwork, TJ!!

Jayman - there should only be 75 topics displayed per page (which is about 2 days worth it seems), how many are displaying on your page? There are no options higher than that except to display all the topics which I could never do as the page would take forever to load then. If I set it lower than 75 than many, many topics would get lost in the shuffle.

I'm not going to delete any old messages, those are archived and will remain on the board. It would be nice if new members used the search feature to see if there questions have already been answered - that would reduce a lot of the duplicate topics.

Maybe you could check the board less often? I have a feeling your checking the board more than twice a day. Then you wouldn't be checking the same messages over and over again.. You could also go into preferences and set your own default to show only topics from the last 2, 5, 10, 20, etc. days..

The ability to delete posts I could probably do as it would save me some time in deleting the double posts which seem to be happening quite a bit lately.. of course only people who are registered would be able to delete them..

Thanks for your suggestions, they will be taken into consideration!
