Paramount Home Entertainment has mailed out a piece of paper (how quaint!) listing some of the upcoming titles in October, 2003. Nick Jr. titles figure heavily in there, with new discs for Dora The Explorer and Jimmy Neutron, plus a first-ever DVD release for Little Bear. But the REAL news sits quietly at the bottom of the list. And, at the bottom of the sea. Bikini Bottom, that is.
The list simply ends with the item, "SpongeBob SquarePants Season One". And that's all it says for now.
We'll keep a vigilant eye on this, and try to nail down some artwork and a release date. There were 41 shows among 20 first-season broadcasts (two per broadcast, and a third in the first episode produced). Roughly half of those have already been released on DVD...it will be terrific to have the other half available, AND get them in one nice package.
