Hot News: Jane Leeves was the guest last night (10th July) on "V Graham Norton" and announced she is 4 months pregnant. She also said this means Daphne will be pregnant in the following series of Frasier. :clap: As far as the cast are aware, this will be the final series.

I wonder how they'll explain it on Frasier next season?

Daphne (the character) will be pregnant!

Its as simple as that, on the last season, her and Niles always talked about it, Mrs. Moon moved out so they could start a family, so.... it makes perfect sense for Daphne to be pregnant!

I guess it was only a matter of time before Niles and Daphne started a family. Sounds like a good way to wrap things up with them.

I always thought the Moon's would make good spinoff material. Even though I don't think Pierce and Leeves would be willing to do it.

Why should they - her pregnancy is going to be incorporated into the story line. They only did the gaining weight approach (which I thought wasn't insensitive at all) because it was too soon to have Jane's character become pregnant and they found that because of the size of her they couldn't hide it (some women do show larger than others and Jane was one of those). Besides to even out any "fat" cracks that Martin or the other made was the overwhelming love from "Niles" that Daphne was showered with constantly. ;-)

I think why there hasn't been such a ruffle about this news is that it was pretty obvious that there was going to be a pregnancy in the Crane (of the Montana) household after the finale last season. And it was well known that if Jane got pregnant again she had it written in her contract that the pregnancy was going to be written into the story line (she said that she suffered too much in that padded costume).
