hey.. now that i've seen a few season 7 episodes, i know what you guys were talking about when you said the last 2 seasons aren't that good.

But for me, it mostly has to do with Antonio, and the lack of Lowell...
plus, the past couple episodes I've seen weren't as funny as older episodes...

One thing that bothers me is how PATHETIC the writers made Antonio!! I almost don't even like him anymore, and before, he was one of my favorite characters.
And it bugs the hell out of me how much they make fun of Edna the big-faced girl. haha. I mean once, ok. the woman has a huge face. ok, fine. It was funny the first couple of times. But it's annoying how often now they're mentioning her in a bad way. I dunno- it just bothers me how it seems like Antonio doesn't like her because she has a really big face, and the only reason why he's with her is because he's desperate. I dunno- it just bugs the hell out of me.

and I miss Lowell! especially now that they replaced him with Budd- the new mechanic. I didn't realize how much I liked Lowell before. lol.

but yeah... I'm kind of disappointed with the show in the 7th season so far...

i wanted to be a minoirity and like it, unlike a lot of you guys, but so far i don't. hahaha.

hahahahaha!! me and my brother were just going to go out to breakfast, and he just walked downstairs in heart boxers and his Evanescence T-shirt and says "ok. lets go." hahahaha it was hilarious!
(he was kidding, of course)

Actually I love the stuff on the "Big Faced Girl"....that always made me laugh. Maybe it's just my demented sense of humor?:D

I can see how women could be offended because it appears like Antonio is making a judgement purely on the physical appearance, but then that is a guy thing to a degree, but what always made me laugh about it is that Antonio was not some big catch himself. Antonio isn't the most handsome, successful man on the Island to say the least, so the fact that HE was being so picky was always funny to me.

For the most part, I still enjoyed season 7 and even season 8 (the most hated year of Wings by many. lol). I always felt the last two seasons were the weakest for many reasons (Lowell gone, Helen and Joe being married, hiring of Bud, etc..) but I still enjoyed the show compared to most others and because I had such an appreciation and enjoyment for the characters I still liked watching the interaction....but I definitely understand why some people were disappointed in the show.

yeah!
I mean, I still like the show. don't get me wrong.
It's just like you said- I like the chaaracters so much that I still like watching their interaction... but compared to the rest of the series, so far what I've seen of season 7 is a little disappointing.

I agree with you about Antonio, Krista. I really started to hate him during the last two seasons. They made him so pathetic and whiny, I just wanted to shoot him and put him out of his misery. He was one of my favorites in seasons 3 through 6.

I've been watching these later episodes, and while they're OK, they just don't seem to have the hilarious "classic" status of many of the earlier season episodes.
However, I'm reminded of what a movie critic wrote when the Marx Brothers were making their later films (like "Go West", "The Big Store" and others)....these later Marx films were nowhere NEAR as good as their earlier films like "Duck Soup", "Horsefeathers" and "A Night At The Opera". However this critic wrote "Even a lesser Marx comedy is still better than anything from anybody else!"....that's the way that I feel about "Wings"!

No arguement there :D
I'd also like to add that I'd rather watch Wings over some of the more critically-acclaimed shows out there, like Friends, Seinfeld, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
