How bout a Lizzie High School series with another actress playing Lizzie?

It could work, because all the other actors would be there. Hopefully they even may be able to get Lalaine back.

no, It wouldn't be the same without Hilary.

Yeah, I probably would not watch it if the show didn't star Hilary Duff. She is the one that makes the show Lizzie Mcguire!

I don't know about the idea. I agree with Captain Crash: it really wouldn't be the same without Hil. But I guess it's better than no Lizzie High @ all.

No Hilary, no show. It's like replacing Mark-Paul as Zack on "Saved By The Bell"- it just can't happen.

SBTB Geek is right. Hil still hasn't signed for a movie sequel or a highschool series on ABC. I think her mom is influencing Hil to not sign. But Disney did say some mean things to the Duff family about them. Hil was never greedy in the first place. The reason she's not signing is:

1. Her mom thinks she needs to move on to bigger and better things.

and 2. It's all about respect from Disney to the Duffs from here on out.

The show really wouldn't be the same w/o Hil.

No one will never be good enough to replace Hilary.

Yeah, if they replaced Hilary/Lizzie, that would suck. I woudn't even watch it anymore. At least that Hilary isn't totally signing off of acting and all that. So I say...keep Hilary as Lizzie and don't even continue the show.

I used to think that replacing Lizzie would be a horrible idea, but now I'm not so sure. I think it is possible for a recast to work -- look at Rachel Blanchard's Cher in the television series. I thought she did a great job, and I loved Alicia Silverstone's Cher, too.

Honestly, I'd just like to see the Lizzie/Gordo relationship explored further, not to mention more of Gordo. Oddly enough, though, I don't think I could accept anyone other than Adam Lamberg playing Gordo. Maybe that's because Gordo is such a unique character. These are all just my opinions, of course.

.:Illusion:.

LM wouldn't be the same w/o Hil. It just wouldn't seem right watching someone else be Lizzie when Hil did it so well. I just can't picture anyone else being Lizzie. Don't lose hope yet! She might sign after all. Her mom is telling her not to. Hil can make decisions on her own.

They could just find another short blond girl to play the part. No one will no the difference.

Hell they could even use Haley Duff.

No way! They don't want to replace Hilary Duff on the show. Please! Keep her as she still playing Lizzie and leave Hilary alone!

Wouldn't work. This a show primarily for children and kids just aren't as forgiving as adults when you do cast changes like that. I know my 10 year old sister would stop watching.
