Did anyone catch the Pilot episode in syndication? It was soo funny
So many things have changed since season 1 and thats what this topic is about. The changes that have happened since that first episode:D
*************************************************
Something i noticed was why don't the Foremen's have parties the way they used to. In the Pilot eppie Kitty and Red are having that party upstairs......I think they should have more parties with the parents:dance:

Something else i noticed is that in Season 1 they had alot more parties and went out more.
There was Eric's b-day party, The Keg, Christmas Party, Donna's party, then they went to the Disco, the wrestling match, the ski trip, and Prom.
In season five they didnt really do much ....i do remeber they went to one dance:rolleyes:

Season 1 was definitly the best season! So much has changed since then - not that it is not good now. It just seemed a little more authentic early on! Still a great show either way you look at it!:)

I agree ..that it was more authentic in the first season. They seemed to focus alot more on the 70s but now it is mostly about the gang and their relationships with one another ,which is cool:)
You notice how they don't really bring up 70s things that much such as movies, television, modern inventions, etc. I really enjoy when they did that:p

I wish they would dress more 70's
it seems it's always flannel shirts with donna and cute pant outfits with jackie. They use to wear more dresses back then

I really think it sux that Laurie will not be the real Laurie anymore that's gonna ruin the whole show man!

yeah i agree with you the show has changed in a lot of ways i do miss how they made it alot about the 70's more nostalgic and all. Also while its good that the characters change and experience new things it is more like a soap opera now...hyde is so the sensitive man now...its sickening that he isnt cool guy anymore.

I loved season one, it was so funny and had this feel to it like no other season. Season two is my all time favorite season, but season one is next.
That being said I love the show now just the same as I did back then.
The first episode I saw was the pilot, August 23, 1998 and I knew it was going to be a great show.:)
Best season one epis:
That '70s Pilot
First Date
Prom Night
That Disco Episode

I realized through reading some of your posts that because things dont stay exactly how they were from season 1 that it is some soap opera. Just because the show has become more character driven and less about reminding people about the past isn't a bad thing. People have to change that was what the 70's were all about.
