I enjoyed the tvography on the "Munsters" last night. I thought it was well produced, informative, entertaining, and surprisingly concise. It was great seeing all the living cast members interviewed including the rarely seen Yvonne DeCarlo, whom for some reason people try killing the poor woman off over the years with false rumors, even so called reputable magazines have done this. It was obvious from the bio that the cast enjoyed making the show and genuinely liked each other. I wish there had been some archival footage with Fred Gwynne being interviewed, but I assume he rarely gave interviews. I know he did not always like talking about the role, even at times downright vehement about avoiding the topic, but in later years, I think he came to terms with it. I think it was Butch Patrick on the bio for Fred that said when naming his favorite roles, he admitted Herman was one of them because he was a good guy. The bio also said what I have felt about the show, even when so called "ordinary" sitcom stories were being featured, there was an always decidely Munsterly twist to them. A1 effort all the way around!

On a sidenote, despite the bashing that some "Addams Family" fans give this show, keep in mind during its original run it garnered higher ratings than AF. Also, in a Nick at Nite vote several years back, "Munsters" won hands down. Personally, I like both shows and don't bash either one.

Flash, I changed the channel tomnight half way through the Happy Days one. To me that one couldn't hold interest throuhout. Never knew Ron Howard did acting at 17 to avoid serving in VietnaM. MAYBE HE WAS AFRAID HE'D LITERALLY GET KILLED IN THE WAR.
