I must admitt, after watching the first season and seeing just about ALL the girls crack a smile everytime they said a funny line, or smirk when they tried to be mad, I was in awe and Nancy's ability to keep a straight face. I mean considering the lines she delivered and threatening Blair and such...it was pretty amazing.
All the actresses had improved by the second season though: Miss. G was as good as always http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Oh, and what is everyone's theory on why Jo suddenly picked on Blair and was relatively nice to Natalie and Tootie...?

Guess she just labeled Blair a 'snob'.

Nancy and Lisa W. for that matter, were definitely better actresses then the girls in the first season. The writing was also 100% better. After watching the first season it is incredible how much the series improved in the first episode of Season 2.

Sidenote here but I was also surprised at how much weight Mrs. Garrett(Charlotte) lost between the end of Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2. She looked really good and it was great to see her in something other than her loose fitting skirts and apron.
