"Check It Out" was a show basically made for Canadian televison. It was only on the USA Network for a short time. One off the sponsors of the show was "Tilden" a Canadian rent-a-car agency.

It was a show about a young hip couple (Think of Darma and Greg ,in the early 70s ) , with a touch of I love Lucy....basically, Tracy and her new hubby trying to fit in with the "squares", while Tracy would always do something really stupid, like lock herself in a closet, or something....A la Lucy! I’ve never seen a full episode, just a clip or two (and it was horrendous). Rumors are it was so bad, eventually CFTO or CTV itself destroyed the tapes, which is very rare for a sitcom. Since it reran into the 80s in parts of Canada, I find that a bit hard to believe. Check it Out, I believe I’ve only seen one entire episode. I don’t remember much about it. |
