OK... I keep hearing people say that they have heard that "N@N is only going to air TFOL two times...." or that "N@N is only going to show it for two years...."
My question is: Where does this information come from?? I mean, I highly doubt that a multi-million dollar cable network would just throw a show on the air for a few months, and then drop it. The show is going to be on for awhile, I guarantee it. Do not worry if you don't get a certain episode taped, because I'm positive it will be on again... and probably again... and probably again after that.
I know everyone here loves the show, but N@N has to consider it's entire audience. I don't think a show has been made "back-to-back" after its initial run since MTM, and that was 3 years or so ago. N@N has to keep attracting people, because some people will watch a series entire "run" on N@N (say, TFOL), and then they won't watch anymore, since they've seen all the episodes. So, N@N has to try to retain its audience by offering new programs, new times, etc.
I agree with many of many of you -- They SHOULD keep TFOL back-to-back, air the "sensitive" episodes, and allow the whole episode to air (without cuts for commercials). We're doing all that we can do, by emailing the network with our thoughts and opinions.
The thing I hope people on this message board are NOT doing is spreading rumors, which get blown out of proportion faster than balloon. If someone wants to say "N@N is going out of business in six months," then please inform the rest of us where this information came from. The rumors lead to people shooting off ideas, which makes people think different things, and then the rumors are off the charts. This not only goes for N@N, but also the coming reunion movie.
I didn't mean to bitch about all that, but with the number of messages that appear on this board, it's hard to get back to what is truth and what is rumor. Please, everyone keep posting. But just make sure that what say can be backed up.
Thanks -- Jim
