who said she had a thing against jo? I mean i Like season 1 just as much as I like the other season (with the exception of 8 and 9) and i liek Jo... Seasons 8 & 9 are my favorites. (except for 2) Probably because Bev was there. No offense, cuz know a lot of you hate Beverly Ann but IMO, Beverly Ann was a whole lot more... how shall I put this? Spontaneous than Mrs. Garrett. She was really funny and Mrs. G got kinda predictable. Now, I don't have anything against Mrs. G, I just like Bev better. Besides, Charlotte Rae decided to move on.

I understand that you may like beverly ann more than mrs. garrett.. I will admit that beverly was a lot more "fun" than mrs. g at times and it was really hard to find those two sister or friends in real life.. but charlotte has that side to her too... they just never let her show it on fol... but I don't go and say im mad at you cuz you dont liek mrs. g or charlotte... that is your opinoin and i respect that, and im sure you respect that i like nat and mrs. g better than i liek jo but i STLL liek jo... so you cant go and sayign your gonna loosen their teeth cuz they don't liek Jo as much as you... I am trying to say this in the nicest way possible... I liek jo czu i relate to her and all.. but in a way i am kinda glad that i don't liek jo cuz i am UNIQUE and liek somebody that many people don't liek... Yeah, seasons 8 and 9 were my favorites too. And I also liked Beverly Ann more than Mrs G. But Sarah Lynn is right, we do need to respect everyone else's opinions. I personally don't like Jo too much. I mean, I don't love her, don't hate her. I'm just kinda neutral. Nat and Blair were the best in my opinion, so I don't mind season 1 at all. It's different, but it was still cute.

Oh Joy...

the first 13 episodes... well, 12 on N@N's schedule.

We get to see once again what I call "plot device Tootie".

It's true... Tootie was only there to do something which moved the plot along. Whether it be stealing IQ Scores, or going out to the barn to get her wabbits, or saying "there's gonna be trouble". There was no substance to the first Tootie... she was just a plot device.

I am also apathetic to Jo. I'mn way more of a Blair fan. And if you can't accept that, you can... Turn Blue!

I'm not to fond of the first season. I think they should have entitled the first season the "Giggly Girls", because in my opinion there wasn't even a real storyline to anything.
Jo, is my favorite character and I believe she brought spice and humor to the show, but she also enabled them to bring up some 'serious' issues. Such as marriage(Eddie) and being less fortunate. Of course as Natalie said everyone is 'less fortunate' once you compare them to Blair...
I also think Jo brought out a different side to Blair because she stood up to Blair.

Those are just my opinions though! I can't wait to see all the episodes again!

I agree with Obsolete Man about Tootie being merely a plot device in Season 1 but in many ways I think all the girls were. I remember Season 1 when I was a girl and just being excited that there was a new show featuring other girls like me. Now when I look back on the first season there was really no character definition or any real storylines.

Many say that Jo made the show and I agree that Jo was a great character but I think that the writing was also much better in Season 2 and that had alot to do with the overall improvement of the show imo.

Well, no matter what, it's only 7 hrs till showtime...LOL

i think that the only reason i liek the first season is cuz they had more interest in the other girls being there... i liked watching the eps to find out more abotu them!! Knowing very little about them i tried to learn more... and yes i agree they really had no point to them, but for soem reason i thought mrs. garrett was much more fun and games (kinda liek bev but more cheezy) than in the other seasons... i mean she was much more leinent to the girls and stuff... like letting htem play poker when they weren't supposed to, i mean she was drunk for god sakes!! you never see mrs. garrett drunk only in the first season!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif well not like plastered majorly just had a little too much... and she was very open in the like mother, liek daughter ep that is airing tonight.. it TOTALLY SCARED AND SHOCKED THE crap out of me!! when she starts to sing and she's in her little french get up.. Sorry to offend anyone, but I REALLY didnt like the Over Our Heads seasons. I mean, they're entertaining and all, but simply, they're not that great. I'll probably still watch them years from now a have a gut laugh, but compared to seasons 2-6...they cant compare. But I can say they are better than season 1. But I have nothing against season 1, it's just different.

I actually dont mind watching the first 13 episodes. I would have prefered NAN rewinding it all the way to NEW GIRL instead of episode 1 but its all good with me. Atleast we'll get to see them back to back so the first season will go by quicker. I cant wait to see New Girl 1 & 2 though.

i love em all! but jo really made the show better.

Seasons 7, 8, and 9 were my favorite seasons. They were a lot funnier than 1-6. And I like Beverly Ann, Pippa and Andy. Season 1 wasn't any good because it didn't make much sense, and Jo wasn't there. Seasons 2-6 were good, though, I just got tired of Mrs. Garrett.

Did you notice when the last season aired(with Pippa, etc) the set was the 1st season set. No disrespect to any characters, but I remain an "original 13" fan!! Happy New Year!!!

I liked season 1 because they gave Natalie all the cute funny lines lol.I think all the seasons were good it's just in some they're were more less interesting eps.I don't like Jo better than the first season girls,or vice versa, or Beverly Ann better Than Mrs.G,or vice versa.I thought the changes were good through-out the show.

You and me both. I loved the first season. The epsode when Cindy was confused about her sexuality was good. I felt so relieved for her. I have nothin against Jo either but if I like the first season better then I just do. After all, it is they are the first Facts of Life episodes.

BA was so ditzy and funny, I tought I owuld hate her but I really ended up loving her
