Does anyone know why they eliminated the taglines at the end of the opening credits?

Recall that the sixth season had "This is the best elevator music I've ever heard!" and the seventh season's intended opening had, "Yo! Chill out! Don't stick your face in the mud... pally!"

Then when they switched to the sixth season opening again, and they eliminated the tagline, and then when they finally used the eighth season opening, the tagline was gone, replaced with an extra beat on the music.

Any ideas or theories?

Probably because once a show is in syndication, it's chopped up more to fit a certain time schedule. I actually remember that line-This is the best elevator music I ever heard. I think that line is in the local reruns

I don't even mean in syndication. The lines were cut on the first-run shows for seasons 7 and 8, too.

I have heard the sixth season's opening tagline, but I've never heard of the seventh or eighth season's opening tagline. That's the first time I even heard of the seventh and eighth season having an opening tagline.

i have heard the 6th one but I didnt here the 7th one, maybe they did that becuase it was the season when Pam came and they watned it different or it took longer with her name showing up and the line "thats the best elevator music i've ever heard" was just there to take up time. I don't know
