VH1 is currently airing (and will be throughout the next few weeks) an hour-long special of Janet Jackson's greatest TV moments. While it does touch on her music careers moments (let's face it, why would VH1 give her the special otherwise?), it also has about her work on tv. There is a fairly decent 4-5 minute retrospective on her 3 years on DS. They had a new interview of her and she was talking about doing the show, and also they showed clips galore. Janet said that her first on-screen kiss with Todd was actually her first kiss. And her producers Jam & Lewis said that DS was the first time people took note of her as a singer.

Even if you aren't much of a fan of Miss J (whose new cd comes out tomorrow), if you like DS and wanna see something about the show BESIDES the problems that happened after 1986, tune in. It's within the first 10 minutes.

TJ, I just checked the local paper, and it will be on again twice this week on VH1

Tomorrow at 5:30 pm and Saturday at 7 pm. Eastern time both.

the good part is that while it focused on Janet's other television shows as well (Good Times and Fame), it seemed like she, as well as VH1, were biased towards Diff'rent Strokes as her fave tv work.

I saw a good part of this special today, I switched channels after they covered Fame. It would have been cool if they interviewed Todd Bridges for his thoughts on Janet then and now. I wonder if they still keep in touch.
