Does anyone remember the episode with Eva Grubb? She comes to the island because she is a Plain Jane who can't get a date and never wants to see a man ever again. So the castaways make her over so she will want to give them the sparkplugs to her boat so they can leave, and she ends up looking just like Ginger. However, Eva becomes evil and ends up leaving without them so she can go to Hollywood and take Ginger's place. However, after this episode, she is never mentioned again and there is no mention of "The New Ginger Grant" on the castaway's radio. So what do you think happened to Eva. I think there was another storm and she ended up shipwrecked by herself on another island. It would serve her right.

ALL ABOUT EVA! Of course I remember that episode! One of my faves! It's an obvious tribute to the great movie, ALL ABOUT EVE. Well, I personally think the same thing happened to Eva that happened to Eve. Eve stole Margo Channing's career and at the end, there's a young girl that was about to steal hers. Eva had the same thing happen to her, I'm sure!

BTW that was the last episode of the show written by Joanna Lee, who'd go on to write more shows, both comedic and serious, and movies of that nature (she'd written earlier Gilligan episodes since 1965).

Vernon Scott was the radio announcer. And yes, Tina Louise (credited along with Lee, Schwartz, director Jerry Hopper, and producer R.L.Rosen, BEFORE the open title!) played Eva THROUGHOUT the episode!

My little nephew always said that since there was no mention of Eva being found, she was probably drown at sea, and that she deserved it for what she did to Ginger.

Also does anyone one know who the body-double was in the scenes where Ginger/Eva were in the same shot together? I think the actress only had one spoken line, just before Eva hits Ginger over the head. It was "what did you want to see me out here for?". It most definetely was not Tina's voice.

Yes Mark, I know that scene has always puzzled me too where Tina's stand in does have one line!
Everytime I see & hear it, I swear it's Judy Baldwin, Tina's replacement in the Gilligan reunion films. It sounds exactly like her.
Since we will really never know who the mystery stand in is, lets just think in our hearts that it was really Judy, that way next time we watch Rescue & Castaways on Gilligan's Island, we'll appreciate her even more!
