My picks:

M*A*S*H - I only watch the first three seasons because the original cast was better, IMO.
Happy Days - I don't like it when it becomes the Fonzie show (after the 6th season or so.)
Married With Children - The first five seasons are funny, but after that the "audience" started that obnoxious cheering every time the cast walked onstage, and the whole show got even trashier
Three's Company - I stopped watching when Chrissy left, because I didn't think the other roommates had the same kind of chemistry with Jack and Janet.

Well, I don't like the last two seasons of I Love Lucy.
I've never been fond of the first season of The Odd Couple.
I won't watch the last season of the daytime 70's Match Game (aka after Richard left)

The New Dick Van Dyke Show - The first two seasons when the show was located and shot in Arizona with Van Dyke, Hope Lange, Fannie Flagg, Nancy Dussault and Marty Brill. The third (and final) season the whole supporting cast was wiped out except for Van Dyke, Lange, and the girl who played their daughter. They moved to Hollywood. The show sucked from that point on and the cast was lame.

Petticoat Junction - The first four seasons was good. When Bea Benederet was diagnosed with cancer and she was out for several shows it became unwatchable from that point especially when June Lockhart replaced her.

Bewitched - The first five seasons, with Dick York, was LOL funny. After York left and was replaced with Dick Sargent the magic was gone. The only thing about Sargent on the show was Liz Montgomery became drop dead gorgeous especially in the final season when she grew her hair out

The Mary Tyler Moore Show - The first five seasons was very good and entertaining. The sixth season was OK but the final season you can see the show was losing its edge. Mary was smart in pulling the plug.

Alice - The Flo seasons was LOL funny. The show was never the same after Polly Holliday left.

Family Ties - The first two and a half seasons was very good. When it became The Alex Show it increasingly became unwatchable especially the fifth and sixth seasons. I love the first season of FT.

All In the Family - The first five seasons was very good. Those four principle characters played off each other very well. Once Mike and Gloria moved out the show was not as good. The eighth and final season of Mike and Gloria was an excellent season for the show given the years it's been on the air.

Cheers - The first three seasons were very good especially the first one. The dialogue was very clever and sharp.

Coach - While they were in Minnesota. Those episodes were LOL funny especially with Hayden, Luther and Dauber. Those three could have been the modern day Three Stooges.

The Cosby Show - The first two seasons were outstanding. Something happened in the third season and the charm was never back after that. The first episode was one of the best first episodes on TV.

No... I watch all the seasons of the shows I like. If there's a character change, I eventually learn to adjust...

I only like the first 2 seasons of Happy Days.

The first 3 seasons of Welcome Back Kotter

Happy Days - I don't like the first two seasons.

Family Matters - Only the last two seasons are truly good, IMO.

Andy Griffith - I only watch the first five seasons.

Family Matters: The first five seasons were good, but it went downhill at the end when Steve started doing all of the dumb experiments. It was a nice show about a family at the beginning, but by the end, it was "The Urkel Show."

Saved by the Bell: I love the entire series except the Tori episodes.

Roseanne: The first four or five seasons are great, but it gets worse at the end.

Fresh Prince: It got bad when "baby" Nicky all of a sudden was five years old.

Diff'rent Strokes: It was excellent until they added Sam and Maggie. It really went downhill after that.

Here is how I look at it:

Happy Days - I will not watch anything after Richie and Ralph leave. And, in actuality, the first 3 seasons are the only ones that I am sure to watch.

Laverne and Shirley - Well, if this show was on I'd prefer not to watch the California years, but at this point I would watch every single one. Even the ones after Cindy Williams left.

M*A*S*H - I was getting to be a snob about anything after the first three seasons, but I will watch any year of the show. I do prefer the early season though.

Cheers - I prefer the Diane years, nothing compares to them, but I will still watch after season five because the supporting cast has such great moments. Rebecca blows though.

Alice - Not watchable after Flo left.

Three's Company - While the Chrissy years may be the best, I still like the later years with the exception of the Cindy episodes-she was pretty weak.

Friends - The last two seasons were unneccessary and not very funny, I find myself not watching them.

Fraiser - Don't even look for it anymore. After Niles and Daphne got together it lost it for me. And that whole fat thing with Daphne was so insulting to the audience's intelligence. Plus, the show has set a record for a character being indignant - what is it for Fraiser, 117 times?

Drew Carey - So bad the last couple years I can't watch the early ones.

Just Shoot Me - Almost the same thing as Drew Carey but not as bad. I like the early years but won't watch the last 2 seasons.

In general I skip the following runs:

1. The last two seasons of The Waltons - No Michael Learned, no Waltons. I mean, Cousin Oliver was a much better fit for The Brady Bunch than Rose, Jeffrey, and Serena Burton were for The Waltons.

2. The last two seasons of The Wonder Years - When Kevin, Paul, and Winnie entered high school, the episodes did not have the elements from the first three+ (they started the last half of the 1987-1988 season, remember?) seasons. However, the die-hard fan in me decided to stick with the show until its final episode in 1993 (there were some episodes that had the magic of the junior high years), and if it were still running today, in its 16th season, I'd still be watching.

Whenever I watch Cheers I always seem to prefer the later seasons (series 6 - 11)

Frasier - Mid way seasons (seasons 3 - 6)

I'm with you on that. If I'm a fan of a show, I watch the complete series from the first episode to the last. Many people don't like the last season of "NewsRadio" due to the change of Jon Lovitz replacing the late Phil Hartman. I still watched it and some episodes are really good. Same for "Happy Days." I enjoy the post-Richie episodes. I think to myself, it's not as good as it used to be, but then I just try to get into the episode. As for "Happy Days" I really don't like the first two seasons as much as the others, but I still taped them. Same with "The Odd Couple," the first season wasn't really that funny, but the rest of the show was hysterical. And I taped almost all of the series. (TV Land took it off before I could get the last 8 episodes.)

Ally Mcbeal-Season 5 is the only one I'll try to watch every episode of.Once FX is done with season 5 I'm going to flip to TBS for Family Guy.

Friends-I'll watch every season but the only ones that I'll go out of my way to watch are the 1st 3 or 4.

Mad About You-Again I'll watch all the seasons but the only ones I'll go out of my way to watch are the 1st 2 or 3.

Curb Your Enthusiasm-I wasn't very crazy about season 3 but I'll still watch it anyway.

Happy Days-I only watch the Post-Ron Howard episodes.

Three's Company - I watched the non-Chrissy episodes once to see what they were like, but now I will only watch the Chrissy episodes, and the episodes where there isn't a third roommate.

Family Ties - I usually don't watch the episodes in the 6th-7th seasons that center around Alex.

The Cosby Show - The 8th Season is so incredibly unwatchable it's not even funny!

Cheers - When I DO watch the show, it's only the Diane years.

Home Improvement - Haven't even ever seen the last season, and don't care to.

Full House - The first two seasons pretty much sucked.

Cheers: I like seasons 1-10. Season 11 was still good, but not as good. Of course, the best seasons of Cheers were 1-5.

Three's Company: I like the Terri episodes better. Something about a man living with two women who are more intelligent than him seems better.

Wings: Seasons 1-6 are the best. The show lost a lot laughs when Lowell went into the Witness Protection Program.

NewsRadio: I agree with TVAdam on this one. The final season did have a number of good episodes, including "Flowers for Matthew", "Stinkbutt", and "Apartment".

Happy Days: I'm glad to see there is another person who only tunes in for post-Richie episodes.

Friends- I'll watch all the seasons except for Season 9.

SNL- I'll usually only watch episodes from 1995-2002.

Malcom in the Middle- Season 1 only.

The Cosby Show- Seasons 1,2,5,8
Roseanne- Seasons 2-7
Friends-Seasons 2-5,7, and 8

I Like and watch all the Happy Days episodes, But I Also prefer the Post Richie episodes the best. Giving Chachi A Bigger role And The addition of Ted Mcginley as Roger Were both great moves in my Opinion. I Usually tend to catch the later episodes more than i do the middle ones.I Love the first 3 Seasons as well. 4-6 Just arent that great to me. Their still good but i dont really care much if i miss them.
