EAGLE, Colo. — Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has posted a $25,000 bond Friday on a felony count of sexual assault and has been released, according to the Eagle County sheriff's office.

In a statement Sunday, authorities said the warrant was issued after deputies investigated a report made Wednesday claiming sexual misconduct by Bryant.

The report said the incident happened in a hotel in the Edwards area of Eagle County that night.

After a series of interviews and a review of the physical evidence, investigators met with representatives for District Attorney Mark Hurlbert and concluded they had enough evidence for the felony sexual assault count, the statement said.

"During the investigation Bryant was cooperative with investigators and remains cooperative with authorities," the sheriff's office said in a prepared statement.....

I don't follow basketball, but my first thought when I heard about this, is that maybe Kobe Bryant is the victim of a golddigger.

Kobe is young, and very rich. Why would he have to force a woman to have sex with? I'm sure women would willingly go to bed with him.

Didn't his wife have a baby recently? I know he's at least married.

I was shocked when i heard this too. Kobe is married & he just had a baby this past season. This doesn't surprise me cause athletes are very weak for women. Male entertainers are weak for women period. When women groupies just throw themselves at these entertainers, men act like they don't know how to say no. Most men always think about sex & when something like this happens, then they look stupid & they wanna apologize to the fans & their family. Remember when James Worthy a former Lakers player of the 80's got busted a long time ago by a policewoman who was posing as a prostitute? He was married at the time. Eddie Murphy got caught messing with a dude who was a prostitute dressed up as a woman LOL. Eddie said he just likes to take female prostitues off the street & get them to do something else with their lives. Yeah right hahahahahahahaha.

Kobe is not a cool guy, he is a punk! Every idiot out there who has compared him to Jordan just made him have a huge ego. By the way this man is nothing compared to Michael Jordan. And yeah he is married and has a kid but that doesn't mean he is a great guy. Jerks are everywhere and it doesn't matter if they are millionares or on welfare, or even basketball stars, they will live their life how they plz. I never liked Kobe.

I was in shock when I read about it in the paper today.

There have been numerous cases of people in the entertainment industry being accused of this stuff, and many times it turns out to be a lie on the accusers part to make money. Hopefully that is the case in this situation. I think everyone should hear both sides of the story before making any judgments, or accusations. Iv'e heard absolutely no evidence yet that supports this womans claims, and until I do, I will not judge. It will be interesting to see how this turns out in the end. Hopefully Kobe is innocent. Iv'e always been a fan of his. But if he is guilty, I will lose alot of respect for him.

Amp2K3 nice sig of Michael Jordan. Anyway i doubt it if Kobe was raised in the hood in Pennsylvania. He seems like he was raised in the suburbs. There is some evidence so far from the police of Kobe's semen & it's a match. So he obviously tried to have sex with her. He should've had his wife with him. Kobe seems like he's guilty to me. Why would he turn himself in if he wasn't guilty?

I just found out today on yahoo.com that the girl was 19 but they didn't say what race she was. She just came back from a family vacation LOL. She's a idiot whoever she is.

Anytime a male entertainer gets with a woman period especially if they're married, it's a setup. Don't these dumb entertainers think that women be reading about their lives? Women aren't stupid & they will always try to set up a man who got lots of money. I've seen it happen so many times. Look at Bill Clinton's situation with Monica Lewinsky, look at Washington DC's Marion Barry situation back in the 90's when he was the mayor & he got set up with that woman in that hotel smoking crack with her, there are so many more situations i can talk about involving male entertainers but i won't get into all that. Look at R Kelly's situation. His situation has got to be the dumbest thing i've ever heard of. Somebody as old as he is dealing with underage girls. Michael Jordan just got his case thrown out involving him & a white woman who he had a affair with in the mid 90's while he was married. She was suing him for millions & he was gonna pay her just so she could keep quiet about their affair. I'll say it again, if a male feels like he has to cheat with another woman while they're married, don't get f****n married.
