I narrowed the drugs jinny was given down to two based on the relative size and color. The two drugs she may be taking are Elavil and Stelazine. They're both lil blue pills used to treat depression, though Stelazine is used for more severe cases. I'm just an overly obsessed girl with a lil too much time on my hands and access to prescription drug books. :D

Elavil
Pronounced: ELL-uh-vil
Generic name: Amitriptyline hydrochloride

Elavil is prescribed for the relief of symptoms of mental depression. It is a member of the group of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. Some doctors also prescribe Elavil to treat bulimia (an eating disorder), to control chronic pain, to prevent migraine headaches, and to treat a pathological weeping and laughing syndrome associated with multiple sclerosis.


Do not stop taking Elavil abruptly, especially if you have been taking large doses for a long time. Your doctor probably will want to decrease your dosage gradually. This will help prevent a possible relapse and will reduce the possibility of withdrawal symptoms.


Stelazine is used for the treatment of schizophrenia (severe disruptions in thought and perception). It is also prescribed for anxiety that does not respond to ordinary tranquilizers.

Stelazine may cause tardive dyskinesia--a condition marked by involuntary muscle spasms and twitches in the face and body. This condition may be permanent and appears to be most common among the elderly, especially women. Ask your doctor for information about this possible risk.

Why would Jinny be taking a pill for schizophrenia? Does she have anxiety along with depression?

Stelazine has the generic ingredient: Trifluoperazine Hydrochloride

Prescribed for psychotic disorders, moderate to severe depressionwith anxiety, agitation or aggressiveness in disturbed children, alcohal withdrawl, intractable pain and senility; may also be used to relieve nausea, vomiting, hiccups, restlessness, acute intermittant porphyria, and apprehension before surgery or other procedures.

yes. remember, before she got addicted to drugs, she went to the doctor and he was reading her chart and he mentioned her having anxiety.

I doubt that, this being Jinny's first treated bout with depression, they would prescribe a tricyclic antidepressant, such as Elavil... when there are far better things out there to try first.... the tricyclics have far too many serious side effects...

Why is this important anyways again, remind me...the didn't name the pill... that way it will fit whatever they want it to fit when and if the time arises.... remember... her bedroom has changed how many times in 3 seasons?
