In season One, George's friend reied to black mail him about his past and George threw him out of the house in the episode "George's Skeleton"
Then in Season 2, Helen reminded George about Monk Davis and George said he better not show his face around there again in the episode "george Meets Whittendale"
Then in the 78-79 season, Louise remind George how he defended his self against Monk Davis in the episode-George and Louise in a Bind"
Great way to keep a storyline going

Actually, the consistency in "The Jeffersons" characterization goes back even earlier, to the days of "All in the Family". Two years before "Jeffersons" premiered, Louise came over to Archie Bunker's house with her "husband" George...but by the end of the episode we find out that the man with her is really George's brother Henry. When Archie asks why she brought George's brother instead of George, Louise explains that George said he'd never set foot in the house of "whitey".
What's impressive is that this episode was a YEAR BEFORE the George Jefferson part was even cast!!! Even back then, the writers clearly established George's personality and it was consistent with the George we later came to know.

I have to disagree, George mellowed out and step foot inside Mr. Bentley House who was white and the Willises house. And even left The Willises son-Alan Willis stay with him until him and his father stopped fighting.
