View Full Version : All-Star lineup crap
Swimfan85 07-06-2003, 08:34 PM Jason Varitek deserved to be on the All-Star team...its complete bull, he is one of the best catchers in baseball right now (best in AL, prob. second behind Javy Lopez) but it is so much crap that Soriono and that guy from Oakland were choosen!!! :(:(:(
sorry had to vent:mad:
with the numbers the soxs are produce I am surprised that no more players besides nomar and manny are there, but I mean I am a sox fan and all and wish that they all could go, but from an outsiders prespective look at Jason Variteks numbers and try and say that he doesnt belong there when he really does!!!
automatic princess 07-06-2003, 08:35 PM I forgot they announced the starters today!
Can you tell me who made it?
Small Wonderian 07-06-2003, 08:37 PM Jason Varitek should have made it to the All-Star Game. I'm tired of the Yankees getting players in and they aren't even worth watching.
Anyways, I'm an Atlanta Braves fan, and I'm glad that we have 7 representatives for my team in the All-Star Game.
Predicted Score: NL 6 AL 4

yah I agree with your prediction...good job for the braves :) they have one hell of a team
ya so Jason Giambi will prob. make it as the 32nd player and that is sooo much bull
a side note...troy glaus numbers arent nearly as good as Bill Muellers, but all I care is about Tek making it!

Yeah, the Red Sox had players that had better numbers than some of the other players from other teams.
I hope the Red Sox can win the AL East this year. I would like to see the Braves and Red Sox play in the World Series, though. That would be a great matchup!!! :) :D

hehe :) thanks, if they can keep it up and make a good trade to help out with the pitching, that would be nice, because I really am not comfortable with some of the pitchers they put in (lyon, jones, shiell...)
AtlantaBravesFan29 07-06-2003, 09:53 PM I didn't get to hear of who the Atlanta Braves got as representatives but I heard John Smoltz got in there and deservedly so as did Gary Sheffield and Chipper Jones and Andruw Jones. Did Russ Ortiz(pitcher for the Braves) get in in the All Star Games as well? He has won 11 games for the Braves thus far this year. I certainly doubt that Greg Maddux got in. Did Tom Glavine and Kevin Millwood(former pitchers for the Braves) get in as well???
Swimfan85 07-06-2003, 10:04 PM go braves...go red sox :):)

Unfortunately, Tom Glavine and Kevin Millwood did not make it this year. :(

Well, I almost feel the way you do. Even though the Braves won the World Series 1995, we'll always be known as the team that does well in the regular season but chokes in the playoffs.
I mean 1 World Series title in 11 years (we won 11 straight NL East titles), what is that?! :(
Xxshelly06xX 07-06-2003, 11:03 PM i hope that the sox win a title...some time soon preferibly, but at least we have the pats right? every1 should go VOTE for varitek u have 3 days he deserves it!
