Once you've reached the FIRST CHECKPOINT, your answers to any additional questions will NOT be considered. When you arrive at the CHECKPOINT, for each hour before midnight JULY 5th from the time of your arrival posting, earns you a lead of 5 miles into Round 4 (they will be added to your mileage at the beginning of Round 4)

Confusing? Let's say you post your answers at 6 PM JULY 5th.
I come along and score them hours later. If your milage reaches 530.4 (the first checkpoint), your point total stops at 530.4, but you have just earned 6 hrs before midnight July 5th = 6 hrs x 5 miles per hour = 30 miles added to your mileage at the start of Round 4.

If you don't reach the first Checkpoint until after midnight, no mileage will be earned or subtracted from your score.

If you don't reach the first Checkpoint during Round 4, once you reach the first Checkpoint in another round, that ends that round for you and you can't earn any more mileage until the following round.
