The New Newlywed Game, 80s version with Bob Eubanks, went through a hosting change during the 88-89 season. Paul Rodriguez hosted the show and the entire set changed. It went from being the New Newlywed Game to The Newlywed Game. It was horrible. Paul was not a good host and you see it did not last long. Did anyone know why that happened?

im not too sure but i think bob eubanks had some sort of falling out with the new producers over the drecition the show was going in cu chuck barris having sold the company sometime erlier was no longer involed a in any way with the show

I remember watching the final season of The New Newlywed Game when they were playing for cash. His energy on that show was not the same. He looked as though he did not want to be there. When he came back his energy came back as well.

I've seen Jim Lange in the "NEW Newlywed Game" back on April Fool's Day. GSN sometimes ran the "NEW Newlywed Game" for ABC while Bob Eubanks hosted the syndication version.

that was actually another verision of the show that ran in feb 1984 for a 5 day run on abc chuck barris was involned in that verision but i have no idea why bob eubanks wasnt
