Does anyone find them as annoying as I do? I hate them! I dont even forward them anymore because its gotten so frustrating. I mean Im not going to actually sit there and read something about how "my crush is going to call in 5 mins if I send this to 20 people." Sometimes I'll even get the same ones from my friends more than once! And I cant block them because then I'll block my friends e-mail address... does this bother anyone else?

A topic I can really and truly relate to. I hate forwards. See I got a mail account of my own at hotmail, I rarely get forwards there, of course all the rest of the junk mail really annoys me also. If it's not one thing, it's something else.

Okay, let me get back on topic. My father has an email account. I use it for ebay stuff. He's always got this one chick forwarding stuff. And it takes so long for forwards to come through in his account. You know forwards wouldn't be so bad if the person actually typed something in, you know? "Hi. Someone sent me this and I thought you'd like it. It really is a cute movie, picture, whatever". No, this chick doesn't type anything in. Just forwards them out to however many people she usually sends them out to. Sends 3 or 4 different forwards at a time. It's annoying. I don't read them, but just the time it takes to get the things in the inbox, it's annoying.

Edit: And I absolutely refuse to forward these forwards on. My father tells me to forward some of them to so and so and I refuse to do it. It clogs up your email and I know some people hate getting the things, too. When the email goes slow, I just groan and know somebody sent a forward w/ an attachment.

Unless they are a Christian forward that has none of that ridiculous "send this to 20 people in 5 minutes and....." crap at the end of them, then yes I delete the heck out of 'em!

What maniac started the things?

He's my favorite character in the movie...

I've just decided to switch our Friday schedule to Monday, which means that the test we take each Friday on what we learned during the week will now take place on Monday before we've learned it. But since today is Tuesday, it doesn't matter in the slightest.:)

I get them just about everyday. I used to send them on, but now I delete them. They're really getting annoying, especially when they say great things will come to you, I'm still waiting.

every so often ill get a good one, otherwise *delete* i hate them

read this awhile back:

"I will NOT get bad luck, lose my friends, or lose my mailing lists if I DONT forward an e-mail.
> I will NOT hear any music or see a taco dog, if I do forward an e-mail.
> Bill Gates is NOT going to send me money, Victoria Secret doesn't know anything about a gift certificate they're supposed to send me.
> Ford will NOT give me a 50% discount even if I forward my e-mail to more than 50 people!
> I will NEVER receive gift certificates, coupons, or freebies from Coca Cola, Cracker Barrel, Old Navy, or anyone else if I send an
e-mail to 10 people.
> I will NEVER see a pop-up window if I forward an e-mail ... NEVER --NEVER !!
> There is NO SUCH THING as an e-mail tracking program, and I am not STUPID enough to think that someone will send me $100 for forwarding an e-mail to 10 or more people!
> There is NO kid with cancer through the Make-a-Wish program in England collecting anything! He did when he was 7 years old. He is now cancer free and 35 years old and DOESN'T WANT ANY
MORE POST CARDS, or GET-WELL CARDS.
> The government does not have a bill in Congress called 901B (or whatever they named it this week) that, if passed, will enable them to charge us 5 cents for every e-mail we send.
> There will be NO cool dancing, singing, waving, colorful flowers, characters, or program that I will receive immediately after I forward an e-mail. NONE, ZIP, ZERO, NADA!!
> The American Red Cross will NOT donate 50 cents to certain individual dying of some never-heard-of disease for every e-mail address I send this to. The American Red Cross RECEIVES donations, it doesnt make them!
> And finally, I WILL NOT let others guilt me into sending things
by telling me I am not their friend or that I don't believe in Jesus Christ. If God wants to send me a message, I believe the bushes in my yard will burn before He picks up a PC to pass it on!

Now, repeat this to yourself until you have it memorized, and send it along to at least 5 of your friends before the next full moon or you will surely be constipated for the next three months and all of your hair will fall out!!!!!"

I used to give my email address out (not the one I use for buying stuff, my 'mostly junk' or 'contacting friends' adress- the webuster address. Anyway- one person I put on my safe list (I think so) basically forwarded all of these silly quizzes (what animal are you, tell your future etc) that existed ever, with like 100 people before me getting them. I just blocked her and sent lots of them back to her and the ppl that started it, though some I too forwarded- SORRY!

I definitely know how you guys feel. When I first started getting them, I thought they were kind of cute until I started getting around 20 of them a day. I actually had to get a new e-mail address just to stop getting so much of that stuff. The ones I dislike the most are the ones that try to make you feel guilty about not sending them. One time I got a Religious one that basically told me that if I didn't send it out, I was selfish, and a bad person. I had gotten that same e-mail like 3 times, so I didn't send it out, and I honestly felt guilty for like a week. Some of those so called Christian ones sure don't come across as very Christian. I use to send them out, but after you get the same forward 5 times, it gets kind of old. I probably have close to a hundred unopened forwards in my inbox right now. I'm probably just going to delete them. All they're doing is taking up space. I think the only thing I dislike more than forwards, are emails offering credit cards, ink cartridges, and porn.
