A number of people have said that the guy who murdered those two individuals at the Blind River reststop in Canada has been caught. I don't think that's true though. I saw this segment again not too long ago and there was no update. Also, Gord McAllister would have identified the ex-cop who killed those nurses in the 1970s as the killer in the 1991 case. Apparently that was not the same guy. All I know is that this case haunts me to this day for some reason. I think about it almost every week. The way this guy took the lives of those two individuals. Jackie McAllister pleaded for her life. I wish I had the time and resources to find this guy and bring him to justice. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

I found out he'd been caught from a newspaper article, via a link on this board. I think Lifetime is just lazy these days and doesn't update cases like they used to. I no longer take Lifetime's word for it (or lack of it).
