I just started watching Square Pegs this past May and I am now completly hooked on the show. The show is like nothing else that I have ever seen before. It is both off-beat and realistic at the same time. The whole cast is great, I accpecially love Lauren because she is funny and full of so much spunk. My favorite episode is "A Cafateria Line." I was six years old when Square Pegs was first on the air, and I have to admit that I don't remember it. Infact until a couple of months ago I had never heard of the show. All I can say is that I am happy that I descoverd this really great show and I wish I could find more information and photos on the web from the show.

Welcome to the Square Pegs Board!

Sqauare Pegs was short-lived it had 20 episodes and ran from 1982-1983 on CBS. I remember the first time I saw Square Pegs, it was in Nick at Nite's "Revenge of the '80s" Marathon in 2001, I immediately was hooked on the series. Throughout the series, the cast had cleary exposed the life of the 1980's, fashion, music, technology. It was always interesting to see what they were up to next.

I found the link below to be very helpful, it has pictures, sounds and an episode guide:

"Square Pegs" was, like, totally tubular.

I had to watch Square Pegs at 2am on TV Land. So I would take an extra nap each day so that I could watch it. Then they took it off the air. I'm so disappointed.:(

My neice used to love this show & I would watch it with her sometimes. It was pretty good. I think she could relate to them because she had just gotten braces and felt very uncool at that time.

I fell in love with this show when it was on TV Land too. I was disappointed that they never showed all the episodes. I thought it would be on DVD by now.

Wow, reading this thread really brings back the memories. It is one of the very first posts that I made here at Sitcoms Online....nearly four years ago.

I also thought the series would be on DVD by now as well. :(

Yeah, how hard would it be to bring out just one season? I mean, I'm sure it would sell... enough. And once the word got out, who knows? I know I would buy it, but who am I, right?

I'd buy it too, Kelsey (this is Kelsey, right? ). I'm surprised that Sony hasn't released it yet. I think that it would have been smart of them to release it when Sarah Jessica Parker was still doing Sex In the City. Of course, Sony doesn't seem to do the smart thing.

That's for sure! The one good thing about Square Pegs only being one season long is that once it's out we don't have to wait months and months for another set. Some people have mentioned the music rights issue, but I'd be willing to pay more for the songs.

I first got interested in Square Pegs when I got it on DVD at Kmart and from then on I loved it and Square Pegs was so cute and even my mom liked Square Pegs too because it reminded her of her high school days. It's a shame that you don't see shows like Square Pegs anymore because it was just so cool. And not only that Square Pegs was totally awesome

OH Nuts!

The key reason I got square Pegs was to see Tracey Nelson, as I'm a big fan of all generations of the Nelson Family. Seeing a young Sara Jessica Parker was also a small plus. But outside of that, I thought the show was kind of flat. However, because of Tracey, and to some degree Sara, I 'm glad I have all the eps.

Square Pegs is a great show, watched it during its original airing. Glad to have the complete series on DVD, I think it's aged well and the humor still holds up. The characters are great, and even though I wasn't quite a teen yet when the show was on I could still identify with everyone, watching it now, and having gone to high school just a few years after the show went off the air I could appreciate how accurate the show was to my own experience.
